Nijmegen Walk 2026 - "In the Spotlight". Of the 47,000 registered walkers, there are 51 selected "In the Spotlight" walkers that were chosen. For 2026, I have been chosen as the #26 Candidate. Not sure how this happened, but it great to see all the efforts associated with thr Nijmegen walks since 1998 gets some media coverage. Great way to promote the "Canada Veteran Walker" concept idea.

My trekking set-up and my hill training for Nijmegen Walk 2026...I do repeat hills (Blair Road, Ottawa) with about 25 lbs of carrying weight..just to "stress" the quad muscles. On the 3rd day of the walk in Nijmegen ( Holland) there are nine hills start at about the 20kms location...for about 10kms.
