This Week at Cooper’s Auto Services 🔧🚗

We had a couple of interesting repairs in the shop this week:

🐭 One Infiniti came in with an injector wiring harness chewed through by a rodent. The damage even spread to the ECM (Engine Control Module) — the computer that controls the injectors. Definitely a reminder that critters can cause serious problems under the hood!

💧 On a GMC Acadia, we replaced the water pump after the bearings were so worn down that the impeller actually started grinding into the housing. Luckily, it hadn’t yet caused major engine damage — but it was definitely time for a replacement.

No matter the issue — big or small — we’re here to keep your vehicle running safely and reliably. 👍

This Hyundai Sonata came in with a clicking noise and loose steering feel — classic signs of a worn power steering coupler, a common issue in these vehicles.

Replacing this tiny rubber piece takes patience and precision. The coupler is buried deep in the steering column, requiring careful disassembly under the dash. It’s not a job to rush — a thorough approach ensures everything lines up perfectly and the steering feels like new again. ✅

In the shop: 2014 F-150 🛠️
We installed new rear shocks for a smoother ride, fixed a busted fuel door hinge, and chased down a trailer wiring issue — turned out to be a blown fuse. Advising the customer to check his trailer lights and plugs for any shorts or malfunctions.

Back in Action After a Week Off!

We’re back in full swing at Cooper’s Auto Services after a well-needed break, and it didn’t take long for the bays to fill up. We want to thank everyone for their patience while waiting on repairs—we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

One highlight this week was a valve body replacement on a 2021 Chevy Silverado. The truck came in with no reverse and stuck in 3rd gear. After a thorough diagnosis, we traced the issue to incorrect check balls in the valve body. The part had been on backorder, but it finally arrived. We installed the new valve body along with a fresh filter, pan gasket, and Dexron ULV fluid. After that, we completed a reprogramming session using GM’s SPS2 Techline Connect. The Silverado was back on the road just in time for the weekend. Thanks Dan for the help!

Other repairs this week included A/C compressors, cooling fans, wheel bearings, and tire replacements across all makes and models.

We’re rolling strong through the summer and ready to help with whatever your vehicle needs. Thanks for riding with us!
