Why are we having a fundraiser for a new accessible van? The 2010 Grand Caravan has been Emmett’s main transportation vehicle for 10 years. It’s been awesome but it is time for something a bit larger and a lot newer. When the old van heard that a new replacement was being considered it started to act out! The power steering went - new pump and lines installed. Then the alternator died - it actually was replaced before the power steering pump as it was in stock. Replaced the idler pulley and the tensioner. And a new serpentine belt while in there. And then a week later the heater hose sprung a leak so replaced that as well as the upper and lower rad hoses. Emmett’s charity track day is two months away - September 12, 2026. We are looking forward to a fabulous afternoon and evening. There’s a silent auction. There are 30 cars and drivers lined up to give you rides. We are so appreciative of those who are helping out and those who have purchased tickets already. Looking forward to seeing you at the track. Admission is free. Games and bouncy castles are free. Burgers and hot dogs will be available to purchase. Tickets must be purchased to get on track and we highly recommend getting those in advance. Tickets proceeds will be split 3 ways - to , and Emmett’s accessible van fund.
