When you think of a basement, you probably picture storage bins, forgotten decorations, and... an airplane?

Did you know that hidden beneath the Fountain Tire Edmonton City Center in the Loveseth Centre building, an aircraft was built below everyone's feet? Because all good tire shops come with the standard package: expert service, quality tires, and a fully assembled airplane in the basement.

How's the car sauna treating you?

Unlike you taking a trip to the beach, a long walk with a friend, or finally finishing that book you've been "reading" for months, your car's A/C doesn't recharge through relaxation.

And unfortunately, it can't be topped off like your windshield washer fluid.

To get back to cool, your A/C system needs to be maintained. Because your car should be more ahhhh and less saun-AHHH.

What makes or breaks a road trip?

The perfect playlist, designated DJ, and backup snacks are essential, but so is your vehicle maintenance.

Sure, checking your tires, fluids, battery, and brakes lacks the same appeal as gas station gummy worms, but it beats waiting for a tow truck.

We'd say we're biased, but we also don't enjoy roadside breakdowns. So there's that.

Potholes can cause some "wheely" big problems.

When you hit one, your immediate thought is: "Did I just damage something?"

And while your tires may be the obvious concern, potholes can also throw off your alignment. Which feels really unfair, considering the pothole survives just fine.

Thousands of laps, one recap.

This year's NASCAR Canada Series’ NAPA 300 brought the speed, excitement, and a very reasonable amount of tire-related discussion.

We soaked up the sunshine, cheered on the racing, and handed out a few crowd favourites along the way.

Thanks to everyone who chatted with us, picked up a racecar air freshener, or caught a branded frisbee during the event breaks. (No official stats on the frisbee catch rate, but we're calling it a success!)
