Most people think a hybrid warning light means a battery failure.
But sometimes… it’s something much simpler and more preventable.
This Toyota Sienna came in with a “Check Hybrid System” light.
Because it’s a wheelchair-accessible van, the entire underside was modified… including where the hybrid battery sits.
What we found 👇
Water was pooling near the battery and damaging the cooling fan.
And here’s the important part:
Hybrid batteries rely heavily on proper cooling.
When airflow is restricted or the fan fails, temperatures rise and that’s when real damage starts.
So we didn’t just fix the problem…
We made sure it wouldn’t happen again.
✔️ Replaced the cooling fan
✔️ Created a drain system to prevent water buildup
✔️ Road tested to confirm proper operation
This is the difference between fixing a symptom vs solving the cause.
Most drivers aren’t told how sensitive these systems really are.
