IT WAS ALL A DREAM.. but like all dreams it has come to an end. Due to many FORSEEN circumstances Affordable Auto Repair will be closing its doors on JULY 1, 2024. Circumstances such as; leasing increases, rising operational costs, dwindling business, no shows, last minute cancelations, many personal physical and mental health issues, etc. it no longer makes sense to try to keep this business going. Many small businesses have had to close their doors in the past 4 years so I don’t consider this a failure I consider it a success, with the foresight to see the end coming. We opened in 2014 and have enjoyed 10 years of serving the north shore community with honest, reliable, and affordable automotive repair but due to the economic climate we can no longer stay true to our name and there’s not enough money to be made to afford a good quality of life. The first 6 years of business were great but after the pandemic began a lot of people started working from home, making them drive much less which slowed the auto repair industry, then almost as soon as some of the workforce went back the gas prices skyrocketed causing now everyone to drive much less. On top of that, because of the rising gas prices, a great many people bought new electric vehicles which are under warranty and get serviced at the dealership. All of this has led to fewer and fewer hours of work in the shop and many hours of standing around for hours unpaid. It’s draining the life, and the enjoyment of business owning, out of me. So before I pull all my hair out and have a mental breakdown and go broke I am jumping off this sinking ship before I drown so that I am able to swim over to, currently unknown, new opportunities and new dreams. I’ve known this was coming for a while but wanted to make this announcement ahead of time out of respect for our customers. So please come by in the next 2 and a half months if you’d like to say thanks for our service, or to wish my dad a happy retirement, or to get some of the last of our Affordable Auto Repair. We all know that nothing lasts forever in this life so don’t be sad that it’s over, be glad that it happened. Cheers to 10 years!

8 years of business. 3 years of a pandemic. 2+ years of people working from home. 1+ year of high gas prices and people buying electric. Due to our honesty, reliability, and affordability we are still here. Thankful for our loyal customers/supporters made up mostly of family and friends and this community I have lived in my entire life. Running a business is a rollercoaster but I’m still enjoying the ride. Cheers!

7 years in business. 84 months. 6 days a week for the most part. Feels like it’s been much longer than that yet at the same it feels like just yesterday I opened the doors. These last 2 years have been difficult to say the least but we’re still here and going strong. I want to thank our loyal customers for helping us get through the hard times and keeping this dream alive. I’d also like to thank my family and the friends of the shop, people that stop by with a coffee or a treat or a free lunch. You too help get us through the tough times and keep us going. It takes a whole community to support a small business and that’s exactly what we are, a community. I started this business to help the community I call home have an affordable, honest, and reliable option when it comes to auto repairs. We’ve done that since the first day and will continue to just that. Thanks for all your support over the years. Hope everyone has a happy holiday and we’ll see you in the new year!
