A New Chapter at R&S Auto Service

After 35 years of dedicated service, Rick and Steve have officially passed the torch—and I’m incredibly honoured to carry it forward.

My name is Jordan, a North Bay local, and as the new owner of R&S Auto Service, I want to begin by thanking Rick and Steve for the trust they’ve placed in me. The legacy they’ve built here is one of honesty, quality, and care—and that won’t change.

I’m also happy to share that Gaetan, Chris, and Angele—familiar faces to so many of you—have stayed on with us, bringing their experience and dedication to the next chapter of R&S. Joining them are our new General Manager Kevin Hamilton and Office Manager Lesley Taylor, both ready to continue the tradition of excellent service you’ve come to expect.

Some of you may also know me from Trout Lake Auto here in North Bay, where—under the direction of our General Manager Josh Taylor and Office Manager Jenn Taylor—we’ve built a reputation for doing the job right and treating people right. My commitment is to bring that same standard to R&S, while preserving everything that’s made this place special.

Some of you do not know that after 35 years Rick and I will be retiring May 31/25. There will be some new faces and old as we transition to the new owner who has assured us he will continue to deliver the service that you have come to expect at R&S. We will miss all of our customers and would like to thank you all for the support and trust you have placed in us for all these years even through the moves we have had to make. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

As we begin to enter winter weather please remember this important driving tip: The automatic headlight control in vehicles detects brightness outside the vehicle with an Illuminance sensor which activates when light picked up by the sensor drops below a certain level. This does not activate because of inclement weather such as snow ,rain or fog, so please use your headlights manually for safety while driving in these weather condition. In addition daytime running lights (DRL) on most new vehicles may activate white lights to the front but leave the taillights off which leads to many driving at night or in inclement weather feeling headlights are on without any rear lighting being present. If in doubt turn your headlights on!
