You’re probably wondering why this old a** truck is on your feed right now… well let me tell you 😂

This thing has 400,000km on it and honestly, you’d never know it looking at it now.

It’s had a new frame, all the rust repaired, and a complete paint job. Once all of that was done, it came to me for the finishing touches.

I gave the interior a deep clean, then wet sanded the paint to knock down the orange peel and take care of some paint defects. After that, everything was polished back up to bring out that deep gloss.

And because there’s no point putting all that work into a truck just to let the fresh paint get beat up again, we finished it off with a FEYNLAB® Official ceramic ultra v3 coating to protect it for years to come.

400,000km and looking better than a lot of trucks with half the mileage. 🖤

Built for the strip. Finished for the showroom. 🏎️

A full-surface wetsand transformed this fresh paint into liquid glass, locked in for the long haul with FEYNLAB® Official Ceramic v3. From polished wheels and a pristine interior to a fully detailed engine bay, no detail was left untouched.

20 minutes of paint correction, condensed into 2.5 minutes. 🎥

This is a closer look at what goes into refining a finish like this VeilSide RX-7 fender.

The process starts with denibbing, carefully removing small imperfections and surface defects from the paint. From there, the panel is wet sanded to level the surrounding surface and reduce the appearance of deeper imperfections.

Once the surface has been properly refined, it’s time for cutting and polishing. The cutting stage removes the sanding marks and restores clarity, while the polishing stage further refines the finish, bringing back the gloss and depth in the paint. ✨

Paint correction isn’t just about making a panel shiny. It’s about carefully removing imperfections while preserving as much of the paint as possible. Every panel is different, and the process has to be adjusted based on the condition of the paint and the result you’re trying to achieve. In this case, it was a freshly painted car. We had lots of clear coat to work with.

There’s a lot happening here that gets lost when you only see the before and after — so here’s the process from start to finish. 🛠️

Insurance called it a write-off. We called it a project.

After an interior fire left this Tahoe with significant damage, it was deemed a total loss and headed for a different fate. Thankfully, saw the potential and gave it a second chance.
