2011 CTS-V A6 Black Diamond Edition in for a few goodies and upgrades.
This car came into see with a few modifications on it already from another shop. It came in with an upper 2.38 pulley k and n air intake and a m**h kit. This car had previously been " tuned ". We often put cars on the rollers and baseline them when they have modifications just to see where they truly are ...well this one was bad. This car laid down 467rwhp with an afr of 13.7 during the pull and 5* of knock re**rd. Not good a good start for this unit.
We took it off the rollers and got to work.
We went back to the basics on this unit and completed our Stage 2 LSA package. Simple proven package to get things flowing. We don't normally use anything but the DDP intakes now on these CTS-V cars...but this time we left the K and N on it. We added a set of 2" longtube headers and kept the oem muffler at the back to keep the stealth sleeper theme on this unit. For fueling we added a set of 850cc FIC injectors. We disabled the so called "M**h Kit"...we will be installing a proper Alky Control system for this customer in the coming weeks.
We strapped the car back down to the rollers and calibrated it properly and the results show themselves with big numbers and drivability.
When you choose to work with shops who care about results and not just running cars through the shop you get the results you want.
Do your research before spending your money, have a look at who is building these cars day in and day out while putting down tangible results.
This customer now has a great base to start building from and build from we will. The new owner of this car is close personal friend of mine and this car is going to be a serious street rocket for him and his son to enjoy for years to come.
