Another Automotive repair solution I do. 2008-2014 Mercedes-Benz C class vehicles and GLKs have a common issue of the steering lock failing and leaving the vehicle in an immobile state.

I stock and program steering lock emulators for these vehicles. I can do them on the car or if someone brings me the ignition switch module and key I can program them away from the vehicle. I can also remove the steering lock whether it's in a failed state or not. As a bonus there is a lot of overlap in steering lock emulator, key programming on these so I can often give a good deal on a bundle. If need be I can also program used EIS ignition switch modules on these cars.

I haven't been posting much as this summer was busy with work and family. Time has just flown by! Now to get refocused as we get back into a routine.

I've been doing a ton of keys including a bunch of these push button start Mazdas. Push button start Mazdas are very picky what keys are used. If the car doesn't like the key there will be a permanent key warning light on. Most of the time only factory Mazda keys should be used. Fortunately I have some special aftermarket keys and tools with some tricks up their sleeve so I can save my customer's money.

Have a Mazda and only one key? These can be very picky and most of the time need a factory Mazda key which can be quite expensive, otherwise you will have a key warning light stay on all the time. If you have one original key, most of the time I can make a high quality aftermarket work. The trick is getting the spare key before you loose your one original!

Two new keys for this Mercedes-Benz E-Class after their one and only key stopped working. I can do most Mercedes-Benz vehicles with these "fobik" style keys up until about 2014, 2015. After that it's unfortunately dealer only. I'm always working on expanding what brands and models I can make keys for.

Here's another photo that might not make sense to most of you and definitely shows my geeky side. This is how I program keys for some older BMWs, Mini Coopers and a few other cars. It's what called EPPROM or Bench work. My key programmer is not connected to the car but rather directly to a module or at times directly to a chip on the module.

This job actually came from the fact that for an old Mini Cooper the keys are no longer available through the dealer. This is where I like to come up with some quality solutions. Do you have an older Mini Cooper with the blade style remote head key? I'm equipped to help with these and I'm going to make sure I have keys in stock.

Just like the old diesel Smart cars, keys are no longer available from the dealer so I find a solution!

It's often the little things that matter!

A lot of my key fobs come with a battery installed but I don't know how long they have sat on a shelf somewhere. Pretty much every key fob or remote I sell gets a brand new high quality battery, I also try to leave a spare key battery as well. That way you have a spare on hand when you need it!
