The Community Resource Zone works best when it is shared.

Residents are welcome to take available pallets, field stones, and firewood at no cost. Bringing those same materials in for others to use helps keep the program working.

Residents of Roseridge’s six member municipalities can also take Roseridge Re-Source Premium Category A Compost for home garden use.

Larger compost loads and delivery are also available.

A section of Range Road 251 near the Roseridge Waste Management Center will be partially closed for paving. Road construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15 and is expected to last three weeks.

Roseridge will remain open during the work, but visitors should expect minor delays when coming to the site.

Commercial loads should continue to access Roseridge from Secondary Highway 642 to Range Road 251. Please do not route commercial traffic through Cardiff.

We appreciate your patience while the road work is completed.

The cleaner the organics stream, the better the compost that comes out of it.

Fruit and veggie scraps, meat, bones, shellfish, cheese, eggs, dairy, bread, pasta, rice, cereal, coffee grounds, and tea bags make excellent compost. So do leaves, grass, garden trimmings, and small branches.

Remember this basic rule - If it doesn’t grow, it doesn’t go.

Metal is a recoverable resource.

When metal is sorted separately, it can be recovered, recycled, and put back into the economy to help make new things.

That is why sorting matters. The better material is separated at the source, the more value can be recovered from it.

Bringing old gas to Roseridge?

Old gasoline needs to arrive in a proper jerry can or gas can. We cannot accept old gas that has been poured into plastic jugs, bottles, or other containers.

Bring old gas to the Special Products building at the Roseridge Waste Management Center.

Need to leave the gas but keep a container? Leave the full can with us and take one of our empty jerry cans home.

Visit roseridge.org to learn more about our resource recovery programs.

Natural is not always compostable. Some materials just do not belong in the organics stream.

Dog waste, diapers, and bathroom waste are garbage, not organics.

A simple rule: If it doesn’t grow, it doesn’t go.

Used cooking oil may seem harmless, but it can create real problems when it is poured down the sink. It can build up in pipes, contribute to blockages, and create avoidable issues in the wastewater system.

Roseridge accepts cooking oils year-round at the Roseridge Waste Management Center.

Pour it into a sealed container, store it safely, and bring it to the Special Products Building.

We’ll take it from there.
