HOW TO CREATE SAAQclic ACCOUNT FOR INDIVIDUALS

How to setup SAAQ online services account for individuals:

• Click the link at the bottom or go to SAAQ official website and press the icon for online services, scroll down, and press LOGIN

• The page will redirect you to the Quebec Government Authentification Service website. Complete the registration form

NOTE:
THE MOBILE VERSION HAS A MISTAKE
THE FIELD TITLE BELOW < THE DATE OF BIRTH > IS WRONG
“Social Security Number” requires 12 character number from your MEDICAL INSURANCE CARD that starts with four letters. The desktop version has the correct title and is called “Medical Insurance Number”

The field “social Security Number” is the Social Insurance Number (SIN)

• You now created the account and have to pass the authentification. The new page will ask you to provide

- Notice of Assessment number from Reveniu Quebec
- Driver’s Licence Reference number (we didn’t get a chance to try the other options as you only get one choice)

NOTE:
To activate the account instantly, the notice of assessment number is a must
If you decide to make them process the identification, it will take up to 15 days to complete

• If the information entered was correct, the next page must say
” Identification process completed.”
and then offer to give your consent when agreed, a new page will show
” Successful authentification “

• You will be redirected back to the SAAQ website to confirm your information and accept the conditions of use

• Pressing login on SAAQclic will log you into your Quebec Government account, taken the authentification is now complete, the system will automatically redirect you to SAAQ online services

• Sandwich menu on the left show all the services available.

The SAAQclic is now a little slow and unstable because of an extreme amount of connections, but it will get better in a few weeks when the pressure goes down.
The service points are now back to regular capacity.
However, most locations will not serve individuals and businesses without appointments, suggesting that everything has to be online. Some places don’t even carry license plates anymore and aren’t able to complete certain transactions. That means everybody will have to signup for online service.
Hopefully, we made it a bit easier to do.

Great news for Quebec drivers!
On February 20th, 2023, SAAQ will present its new project - SAAQCLIC.

Over 10 billion files will be refined and converted (let's hope that no data will be lost other than demerit points *fingers crossed*) to a new system that will be easy to use and secure.

SAAQ's new $450 million website will allow online access to about 20 services related to vehicle registration, driver's licenses, vehicles, driving records, medical information, and road test appointments.

As of February 20th, we will be able to:

,▪︎View, cancel or replace a driver's license
▪︎Check the validity of a license
▪︎Obtain information regarding your driving (demerit points, penalties and offenses)
▪︎View your license plates and registration certificates
▪︎Replace a license plate
▪︎Obtain a vehicle's ownership history
▪︎View information regarding your vehicles

There are more, but the most useful in our opinion

▪︎ sell a vehicle and transfer ownership online!

Yes, it means transferring a vehicle ownership ONLINE!!!

This is a major improvement that we were waiting a long, long time for, so let's hope that SAAQclic will actually be functional and user-friendly. Besides that, SAAQ claims that migration to a new system involves a huge data clean-up and remodeling, will supposly improve overall efficiency, wait times for all services and ease the pressure at their outlet locations.
