The BYD SEAL U DM-i gave me a good first taste of what BYD could bring to Canada.

It looks like a regular compact SUV, but the plug-in hybrid system is what makes it interesting. Around town, it often drives like an EV. On longer trips, the gas engine removes the range anxiety.

Not perfect, but worth watching.

A quick stop in the studio with the all-new Volvo EX60.

Volvo gave us some time with it for a photoshoot, and we couldn’t resist capturing every angle.

Safe? Of course.
Practical? Most likely.
But let’s be honest… it looks pretty good too.

Volvo Canada sent us to Toronto for an exclusive first look at the brand-new Volvo EX60.

With a 95.0 kWh battery, up to 514 km of estimated Canadian range, 800-volt architecture, and charging from 10 to 80% in around 18 minutes, the EX60 looks set to become one of Volvo’s most important EVs.

The 2026 Nissan Micra EV brings back a name many people still remember, but with a very different mission.

Small footprint. Fully electric. European city-car charm.

I spent time with it in France, where this kind of car makes a lot more sense than another oversized crossover. Compact, practical, and easy to use in tight streets.

Now the question is simple.

Would a small EV like this work in Canada?

Another day, another Abarth.

This time, the Abarth 600e.

Funny how a photo can go from looking like it was taken on a flip phone to showing every detail in 4K. Same car. Same moment. Completely different result.

The 600e might be electric, but it still has that playful Abarth attitude. Compact, quick, and impossible to ignore.

Fun fact: Carlo Abarth was born in Austria before creating one of Italy’s most iconic performance brands.

A few days. One wagon. Every season.

Through all of it, the BMW M340d xDrive Touring just felt right. Fast when the road opened up. Calm when the weather turned. Practical when real life came along for the ride.

And somehow, this performance diesel wagon still averaged 6.5 L/100 km.

Maybe wagons aren’t the problem. Maybe we forgot how good they are.
