Job summary
Our auto repair shop is in need of an experienced, thorough Mechanic or apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing myriad mechanical issues on customers’ cars, including brakes, alignment and other electrical problems. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized professional who takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities
Greet customers when they arrive and take a detailed history of vehicle performance or mechanical failure
Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer and direction by senior mechanic
Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist

Qualifications and skills
High school diploma/GED preferred
Red Seal certification preferred but not required
1+ years of automotive repair experience
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
Ability to operate diagnostic tools required

Apprentice are encouraged to apply
Senior mechanic looking for contract work encouraged to apply
