Vehicle came in with a camshaft sensor fault.

Customer had already replaced the cam sensor — issue remained.
We started with the basics, fuel pressure checked it's within spec. Spark present, initially appeared weak
Instead of guessing, we checked live data and immediately saw a red flag. Intake Air Temperature stuck at –40°
That reading doesn’t mean cold air it means the engine computer isn’t processing the signal.
From there, Sensor resistance tested — OKWiring, power, and ground verified — OKSensor signal simulated directly at the DME — still –40°
Final diagnosis: Internal DME failure causing over-fueling, flooding, and secondary cam sensor faults.
This is why diagnostics matter.
Replacing parts doesn’t fix a computer that can’t read its inputs.

Customer came in with intake runner faults on both banks.
After checking sensors, flap operation, and vacuum lines, the issue traced back to a weak vacuum pump causing both intake runner actuators to fail.
