Our Service department is open to assist you when needed. You can view our Used and New Inventory online and on Facebook Marketplace prior to visiting our dealership.

Our existing protocol requires staff to stay home if they show symptoms of illness. We are working closely with our employees to assist them in the best way possible to help navigate through this difficult time of school closures and uncertainty.

Excellent service provided: April 22, 2021, I was driving to a scheduled service appointment. I had called a few days prior when I heard a rattling noise from underneath the passenger side and had spoken with Mark, Service Manager. En route, my car suddenly died on the 401 West off ramp at Dixie Rd. approx. 10:10a.m., partly on the right shoulder but mostly in the right live lane. I called Ideal to say what happened and that I would be late for my 10:35a.m. appointment. With the help of two OPP officers and a civilian who pushed the car fully onto the shoulder, and the CAA tow to Ideal Honda, I arrived approx. 20 to 25 min. late. Mark, the Service Manager, was very helpful. I was prepared to wait a long time for my turn for vehicle diagnosis. Considering this, they found the issue within approx. 1 hour. It was repaired the next day Friday April 23. In the meantime, they provided a rental vehicle for me, at their cost. I picked up my car in the afternoon of April 23. Thank you to the awesome technicians ! Thank you to Mark, Maddy and the team ! Oh, and a bonus is that, based on the repair that was needed, the air conditioning is now supplying cooled air.
I was having a problem with starting the car. After paying for an inspection they told me that the battery had less voltage and recommended changing the battery. When I insisted, they did find a leak on to the alternator and it was corrected under warranty after many negotiations. I also knew that the car was driven very little. So decided to have a few long runs. I had taken the car for service shortly after and did mention to them about inspecting the battery. They told me that everything was good. I noticed starting trouble again and when called they apologized and gave an appointment for this morning and said that they will do the inspection for free as I had paid for it a few days ago. This morning the service agent was not willing to listen to any of these and insisted that I pay again. Why be so rude and not even look up the notes? Why waste your customer's time for nothing? Why don't you adhere to the values you preach and do a proper job? Very very disappointed. I was not at all interested in beginning a week, that too at this time in this fashion. Stop your money grabbing attitude and begin to do your job diligently.
What a …not great at all experience with Ideal Honda in Mississauga, ON, this time!!! I went on July 25th, 2019 to inquire at their Service dept. about diagnostic charges for an air conditioning (AC) issue on my 2007 Honda Civic (was suspecting a leak, as it wasn’t running properly: compressor ran, until not anymore); I was told that diagnostic charges run between $125 - $250 (not sure what criteria they use for this range: double the price on the higher end), so basically they have full control on what they decide to charge, as the charging protocol is not clear for the customer). Same day I booked an appointment online for August 8th at noon and requested clarifications about the charges, one more time, as well as if their diagnostic will pinpoint 100% the cause of my malfunctioning AC; think about it: since they are the dealer of the car maker, they should be able to provide an accurate and precise diagnostic, as they (should) have the top diagnosing equipment on site. On July 26th got a voicemail from a Service adviser confirming the same price range for the diagnostic ($125 - $250) and assuring me that the diagnostic will identify the cause of my malfunctioning AC. Wow: that sounded great! On August 8th, 2019, got to Ideal Honda Service department at 11:50am, did the line up with other people and my car got picked up by their stuff at 12:05pm. And here is now when my visit to Ideal Honda starts to snowball: • Service Adviser Imran Hosein tells me that the diagnostic charges start at $180 and could go up to $450 - $475; he’s telling me that the AC diagnostic starts at $180 and if freon needs to be added could go up to $475 depends on what is found during the troubleshooting. Told him about the diagnostic charges I’ve got previously from the Service front desk and the voicemail from another service advisor, but he was firm on his diagnostic ranges. Since we couldn’t be on the same on the same page on the charges ranges and (even now, still) wondering why he was having different price ranges, I told him that I will pay just the $180 to find the cause of the malfunctioning AC and we will see after what’s going on and I’m not authorizing any other work other than diagnostic, unless they ask me prior to. Being a hot summer day and with no AC running, I’ve had the sunroof fully open and the both rear windows half-way open, as well. Another guy took my car and drove it outside the garage. One would think that it will close the sunroof and pull up the rear window: One, but not him! • Checked their shop through the clear windows at 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 1:25pm: no trace of my car in their shop. By 1:28pm I decided to go and cancel my appointment as they didn’t touch my car for 1 hour and 30 min after drop off, while seeing other people coming after me, having their car serviced and driving away. Consider that that day I was still in vacation and didn’t want to spend that much time there (went there previously on other occasions to service my car and the most I waited to get my car in the shop was 30min). Suddenly, like reading my mind, Service Adviser Imran comes to tell me that the car just got in (saw it too) and they will start working on right way…but, there’s a “small” problem: it rained outside and no one closed my sunroof and my rear windows and the car is “kind of wet”, especially my front (cloth) seats and that they will have to detail the car after being serviced at no charge. I told him that this is ridiculous: waiting 90min to have my car in the shop and having my front seats and probably the rear ones, wet from the rain. He said he’s sorry, there are short in stuff because of summer holidays and overbooking (!!!)…and went back to his desk. • One could you believe that such a great company like Honda would have great customer service training for their managers and the rest of their service personnel (especially Service Advisers): not at this location, for sure. Customer Service requires dedication and incentives offers when things derail from their normal path: I’m a Corporate Auditor for Airline Operations for a major Canadian airline and I know how those derail situations work as I’m auditing them and there’s no tolerance for non-compliance. A final bill discount or even a complimentary service car offer (as my car seats were wet) would’ve been simple and easy to do incentives…but I guess, someone in the management they missed those classes into their management training! • By 2:15pm (another 45min after finally my car got into their shop), Service Adviser Imran comes to see me and advised that actually the freon for my car is actually cheaper ($40) and they can added to my AC system with a dye to find the leak: what a heck did they do all those 45 min from when the mechanic started working on my car? Only God knows! I agreed to pay the $187 + $40 plus tax…but the diagnostic did not pinpoint the problem with my AC. Was told that I have to run the car with the AC on and come back after 2 weeks so the mechanic can check where the leak is…and who’s going to pay for that shop visit? Your guess is my best guess, too: only God knows, again…but I’m not planning to pay for, as it should be part of the initial diagnostic!!! • By 2:30pm I was told by Service Adviser Imran that they are detailing my car now and it should be ready soon. • By 2:45pm the car was ready and outside; payed $255 (tx included) to get a car not fixed yet, but detailed….you think so: I was advised that only the front seats were shampooed; that was the equivalent of “detailing” in the Ideal Honda vision for soaking wet front seats and wet back seats; got to the car: front seats still wet, as well as the back seats!!! After so much waiting and frustration and deeply disgusted of their service, I just want it to leave and not deal with their Customer Service Manager and Adviser. • I just wonder; how Honda monitors their dealers and how the dealers they ensure their operations runs as documented or as required by mothership Honda Canada. Would love to know what their Quality Assurance program does (if they have one, either of them) and what protocols are in place to ensure deficiencies are corrected properly & ensuring no re-occurrence of it! • Am I going to get back to them: depends what they reply to this review and what post-diagnostic and post-billing incentives they can offer me; would be the last chance I give them to restore my confidence in them and continue to recommend them to my friends (10 of my friends they own a Honda vehicle)!!!
2 days after leasing a brand new CRV, one of the tires lost pressure, we pumped up the tire, 2 days later, the same scenario happened again. So we brought back the car to Ideal Honda for service, they didn’t find anything wrong with the tire (even after telling them that the tire has lost pressure 2 times, the pressure went down to 20 lbs, it should be around 30 lbs ) they re-calibrated the sensors, which we didn’t understand, the tire is leaking but they fixed the sensors instead. 2 days after the service, the tire had lost pressureI again, but this time the low tire pressure signal didn’t turn on, which is worst! So, I tried to call the service manager to talk about the issue, I tried to reach him for 2 days, leaving 3 messages, but never got a call back. Out of frustration, we took the tire to a mechanic, he found a hole and fixed it! Will you call that an IDEAL SERVICE?
Today I purchased the winter tires package (with the rim). When I went to pick up my car after Ideal Honda called me it has been done. I surprisingly found out the RIM is not the one they provided to me in the quote, they changed to different type of rim. The manager from service department told me the RIM showing on their website is wrong. I was then given three options, take it, remove it, or pay more to change. I don't want to waste my time as it will be snowing next couple days, so I had to take it. However, Ideal Honda should treat the customer nicely, should be honest, but not fool the customer or play a trick.😥
