here’s a bit of what’s been keeping me busy lately 👨‍🔧

Spent the week working on a couple Kubota machines doing repairs and maintenance to keep equipment running strong for the season ahead.

One job was a compact Kubota tractor where I:

Replaced a leaking front axle seal
Tracked down and repaired a small hydraulic leak

Also worked on a Kubota zero turn mower:
Full service completed
Installed new blades
Noticed a worn belt and failing idler pulleys during the service
Came back later in the week to replace the worn parts before they caused bigger problems

And whenever there’s time after customer jobs, I’ve been slowly chipping away on my own 1978 Chevy C10 project truck too.

Customer came in this evening once he was got off work and within no time we had his rear wheel bearing replaced on his 2016 Honda civic! We work the evenings to better serve our busy customers!

Saturday morning service call 🔧
Customer called in with a check engine light and a noticeable lack of power. After hooking up the scanner, I found a random cylinder misfire along with a cylinder #3 misfire and confirmed the performance issue.
Cleared the codes and retested—cylinder #3 misfire came right back.
Swapped the ignition coil from cylinder #3 to #2, and the misfire followed, confirming a faulty coil.
Replaced the spark plugs and the #3 ignition coil, and the vehicle is now running smoothly again 💪
Another happy customer back on the road!

It’s been a productive few weeks at Mennie Mechanical.
From timing belt and water pump replacements to diagnosing electrical faults like window circuits and cruise control issues — along with suspension work, wheel bearings, and routine maintenance — we’ve been keeping our community moving.
