• Stop for school buses when red lights are flashing.
• Reduce your speed in designated school zones during posted hours.
• Stay alert for children crossing streets and using crosswalks.

Update on fire!!!
OLDFIELD FIRE IS CONTAINED!!!!

City of Miramichi — UPDATE #1 - August 18, 10:00 A.M.IMPORTANT GNB UPDATE: Oldfield Road Fire Wildfire Update
208-Old Field Road is now classified as contained, which indicates the fire is surrounded by barriers like bulldozer breaks or hose lines, which are expected to keep it from spreading further if firefighting efforts continue. However, fire is still actively burning on some or all edges, and it could potentially jump or spread.

FIRE BAN UPDATE!
Even though some rain fell in areas of the province, wildfire danger remains high.
Quick rain showers only dampen the surface, while the dry material underneath can still ignite easily. Sun and wind can dry out that moisture within hours, creating dangerous conditions again.

Due to a wildfire, a section of Highway 8 near Miramichi, is currently closed between Route 450 and Oldfield Road. Russellville Road and McHardy Road are also closed. Traffic is being diverted towards Neguac. Please avoid the area.

Yesterday, a member of the stopped this vehicle for travelling 158 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone on Route 8 in . A total of $777 in fines were issued, including $172.50 for not having valid inspection certificates. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)

Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)

Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

*****MUST be 25 years of age or older(as required by insurance co.)

*****MUST live in Miramichi City Limits or Very close proximity to it as calls are time sensitive

◦ Experience is an asset

You will be responsible for the following:

• Safely and effectively operating a flatbed
• Responding to calls in a timely manner.
• Tows
• Vehicle Boosting
• Vehicle Lockouts
• Accidents/recoveries
• All aspects of towing
• Emergency calls
• And any other duties that may be assigned.

You must have basic automotive knowledge and the ability to react in high stress situations.

Excellent Customer Service is a MUST!

Pay will be discussed at the time of interview.
