What is Rust Check made of you ask?

Rust Check’s base is a synthetic mineral oil which has a stable and neutral ph. Ordinary mineral oil would break down over time and become acidic, and would cause damage to rubber parts, wire insulation, weather stripping, and shock seals. Cheaper sprays use the oil base as a major ingredient but Rust Check only uses it to carry the other components.
Rust Check Chemical Components:
Water Emulsifier:
This important ingredient gets rid of water, chemically, and neutralizes salt. Salt can only hurt your car when it is wet. Dry it does no damage. The water emulsifier becomes saturated over time. This is why Rust Check needs to be re-applied annually.
Rust Inhibitors:
There are three separate ingredients, each one attacking rust from a different direction. The actual ingredients are a trade secret but rest assured the “Rusties” don’t have a chance.
Non-Acid Penetrant:
This allows Rust Check to squeeze into the tightest seams and even down the threads of bolts and screws. It doesn’t matter how good your rust proofing product is if it can’t get to where it is needed. Rust Check gets everywhere.
Capillary Action Creeping Agent:
In cooperation with the penetrant, this ensures access to all critical areas in your vehicle.
Bonding Agent:
Serves as glue to hold the Rust Check on the metal surfaces of your vehicle.
Perfume & Dye:
These do nothing to aid in killing rust but are used to visually identify the product.
