The last few days have been incredibly difficult, and I've needed some time before finding the words to share what happened.
An accidental fire started in another shop at the far end of the building. There were four businesses in the building, including ours, and unfortunately the entire building was lost.
DussaultFab lost everything.
I wasn't able to post anything sooner because I was in shock and focused on handling the situation as best as I could. Yesterday, we spent the entire day trying to recover whatever we could.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who came out to help. Your support has meant more than I can put into words. Thank you as well to everyone who reached out, sent messages, and especially to those who started and donated to the GoFundMe. Every single contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference over the next few weeks.
For now, DussaultFab will be slowing down while we take some time to process everything and figure out our next steps. We won't be completely gone—we'll still do our best to answer messages and help where we can—but please understand if responses take longer than usual.
This isn't the end of DussaultFab. It may take time, but we'll rebuild. We'll come back stronger.
