This week’s Bruce Brags celebrates a major career milestone for Riley Amberman, our newly licensed Red Seal Automotive Technician at Bruce Nissan! ⭐

Riley recently earned his Red Seal, which is an incredible accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, hands-on training, and dedication to his trade. We couldn't be more proud of him!

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Riley highlighted the great group of guys he works alongside. He said the team knows how to have fun while still enjoying productive and efficient days under the leadership of who Riley calls a “wicked service manager”, Troy Vidito.

Unsurprisingly, Riley says his proudest accomplishment since joining Bruce Auto Group is earning his Red Seal and officially becoming a Licensed Technician.

Outside of work, Riley can usually be found working on his old-school vehicles 🔧 or heading out fishing 🎣

Riley was nominated for Bruce Brags because the entire Bruce Auto Group team is incredibly proud of him and wanted to celebrate this well-earned achievement. Earning a Red Seal is a huge milestone, and we’re thrilled to see Riley take this exciting next step in his career!

New province, new career, and an incredible start! This week’s Bruce Brags spotlight features Shiv Sehdev, Product Ambassador at Bruce Nissan ⭐

Despite being early in his career and new to Nova Scotia, Shiv has settled into life at Bruce Nissan with ease. His confidence, positive attitude, and willingness to learn have already made him a wonderful addition to the team!

What Shiv enjoys most about his job is meeting new people each day and helping them find the right vehicle for their needs. He also appreciates the people he works with and being part of the Bruce team.

When asked what he is most proud of since joining us, Shiv shared how much he has grown. Moving to Nova Scotia and starting somewhere new was a big change, and he is proud of how quickly he has adjusted and become more confident in his role. (We're super proud of him, too! 👏)

Outside of work, Shiv enjoys spending time with friends and exploring his new home. There is still plenty of Nova Scotia left for him to discover, and he has been having fun checking out new places and getting to know the area!

Jeff Guerin, General Sales Manager at Bruce Nissan, nominated Shiv for Bruce Brags after an outstanding first month. He says, "In his very first month, Shiv sold an impressive 15 vehicles and achieved a hat trick! To my understanding, at just 20 years old, he may be the youngest Product Ambassador in the group to achieve a hat trick."

When we asked Shiv what advice he has for anyone considering joining the Bruce team, here's what he shared: "I’d say come in with an open mind, be willing to learn, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There are a lot of great people here who are willing to help, and if you put in the effort, there are plenty of opportunities to grow!"

Shiv, you have certainly given us plenty to brag about already! We are so happy to have you on the Bruce Nissan team and cannot wait to see where your drive takes you next. Congratulations! 😀

This week, we’re giving a well-deserved Bruce Brags shoutout to Cameron Melanson at Valley Volkswagen! ⭐

For Cam, the best part of coming to work each day is getting to do what he loves most, which is working on cars. That passion doesn’t stop when the workday ends, either. In his spare time, you’ll often find him working on vehicles for friends and family or tackling projects of his own!

Since joining Bruce Auto Group through his work placement with the NSCC Automotive Service and Repair program, Cam has made such a positive impression that we knew we wanted to keep him on board for the long haul! He says his proudest accomplishment so far has been earning a permanent, full-time position with the team.

When we asked Lacey Kerr why she nominated Cam for Bruce Brags, she said: "Cam is such a joy in our shop. He is so helpful and takes on any tasks asked of him. He always has a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and goes above and beyond for our customers and everyone in the dealership! He is such a valuable member of our team."

We’re shifting gears over to Bruce Honda for this week’s Bruce Brags, featuring Licensed Technician, Alex Dugas! 🔧

Alex is known around the shop for his impressive skills and willingness to take on any challenge that comes his way. No matter the job, Alex tackles it with a smile and gets it done right.

When we asked Alex what accomplishment he was most proud of since joining Bruce, completing his Red Seal certification was an easy choice! We’re also incredibly proud of Alex for reaching this milestone.

For Alex, he says the best part about working at Bruce Honda is the positive atmosphere and the great team he gets to work with every day.

When he isn’t busy in the shop, Alex enjoys anything involving cars and racing, proving his passion for the automotive world doesn’t stop when the workday ends! 🚗

Alex’s advice for anyone considering joining the Bruce team is simple: “Go for it! It’s the best place to work.”

Alex was nominated for this week’s Bruce Brags by Bruce Honda’s Service Manager, Nathan Nickerson, who shared: “Over the past 30 days, Alex earned his official Red Seal certification and gained the ability to write MVI stickers. At this point, if it has wheels, Alex can diagnose it, repair it, and pass it! As impressive as he is at his craft, his attitude is even better. You could hand Alex the absolute toughest, greasiest, most head-scratching job on the schedule, and he’ll take it on with a smile and get it done effortlessly with zero complaints, just pure hustle. This week’s Bruce Brags spotlight shines on Ridham Jain, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor at Bruce Hyundai! 📦🔩

Since joining Bruce Hyundai in 2024, Ridham has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working people you’ll ever meet. Whether he’s keeping the parts department running smoothly or helping a colleague, he brings an incredible work ethic and a smile to everything he does.

One of Ridham’s proudest accomplishments since joining BAG has been helping improve the dealership’s parts inventory by keeping parts moving and addressing dormant stock. His efforts have certainly paid off, with the department being recognized as one of the healthiest Parts Departments in the group!

What Ridham enjoys most about his job is the people he works with each day. He appreciates how welcoming and supportive the team is, along with the opportunity to continually learn more about parts and inventory.

When he isn’t working, Ridham loves getting in the car 🚗 and exploring Nova Scotia. Some of his favourite destinations so far include Lunenburg, Blomidon Provincial Park, Halls Harbour, Annapolis Royal, Falls Lake, and the South Shore, with Yarmouth still on his list! He also enjoys playing sports with his friends. ⚽

Ridham’s advice for anyone considering joining the Bruce team is, “Come in with a positive attitude and give your best every day. Believe me! Your efforts never go unnoticed here. Management really recognizes and appreciates the work you put in. Last but not least, be ready for the annual softball tournament!” 🥎

Ridham was nominated for this week’s Bruce Brags by Bruce Hyundai’s General Manager, Brittany, who shared: “Ridham has the best attitude. You’ll never find him without a smile on his face. He truly cares for his colleagues and goes out of his way to help them in any way he can. He also goes above and beyond in his daily role in the parts department. Buckle up! This week's Bruce Brags is headed to Bruce Mazda to meet Ashton Dunn, Product Ambassador 🚗

Since joining Bruce Mazda last year, Ashton has been making the most of every opportunity to learn, grow, and build great relationships with customers. He brings a positive attitude to the showroom every day!

A few of the things Ashton said he enjoys most about his role are working alongside his teammates, the thrill of putting a deal together, and dressing for success.

When asked what he's most proud of, Ashton shared that continuously growing and learning, strengthening his communication skills while helping customers through their purchase, and consistently hitting his targets are accomplishments that motivate him to keep pushing forward.

When he's not at the dealership, you'll likely find Ashton working on his motorcycle 🏍️, hitting the gym 🏋️, golfing ⛳, or spending time with friends.

When we asked Ashton what advice he'd give someone just starting their sales career with Bruce Auto Group, he joked, "Don't be late, and don't make Finance mad!" 😄 All jokes aside, he believes the key to success is simple: apply yourself every day, stay motivated, and the results will follow.

Ashton was nominated for this week's Bruce Brags by his manager, Brianna, who shared: "I nominated Ashton for Bruce Brags because of his resilience in overcoming a bad outcome or a bad day. He genuinely always has a smile and a willingness to get the job done despite the task. We're lucky to have him as a part of the team."

As promised, we're back to introduce you to the other half of Valley Volkswagen's detailing duo! This week's Bruce Brags celebrates Billy Fleet. 🚗✨

From day one, Billy has brought a can-do attitude to Valley Volkswagen! Never one to shy away from a challenge, he's always ready to tackle the toughest detailing jobs while keeping the team laughing along the way.
When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Billy said, "I love taking a really dirty car and making it look like a brand new car again."

Billy says one of his proudest accomplishments since joining Bruce has been helping build one of the best detailing teams in the group alongside his colleague and friend, Eddie. Together, they take pride in maintaining the high standards that keep Valley Volkswagen's inventory looking showroom-ready!

Outside of work, you'll find Billy tinting windows, riding his four-wheeler, or, in his own words, "driving my woman crazy." 😄

General Sales Manager, Riley Connelly, nominated Billy for this week's Bruce Brags, saying: "Billy's reputation as a detailer precedes him. If you ask around the Valley for the best person to clean your car, his name will often be one of the first you hear. He is always quick to crack a joke and keep everyone around him laughing, even when tackling the toughest of cleanings. The dedication and positivity he demonstrates on a daily basis is a crucial part of keeping our detailing operation running smoothly."

This week, our Bruce Brags shoutout goes to Ed Miles, one of our talented Detailers at Valley Volkswagen! 🚗✨

Ed joined the team back in February, bringing along years of detailing experience and a whole lot of passion for his craft! Since then, he's quickly become known not only for leaving every vehicle looking its absolute best, but also for being an absolute ray of sunshine around the dealership. His positive energy is contagious and he's always ready with a smile to brighten everyone's day.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Ed kept it simple: "The final result of seeing a vehicle go from dirty to clean."
A few accomplishments Ed is especially proud of since joining Bruce is getting a newer vehicle and continuing to grow his skills, becoming an even better detailer than he was before!

When he's not making cars sparkle, you'll most likely find Ed spending time with his friends and family.

Ed was nominated for this week’s Bruce Brags by our General Sales Manager, Riley Connelly.
