[2026-08-13] Back to Port Union for another road test today! 🚗💨

This student had previously taken driving lessons with another instructor, but unfortunately, he wasn’t successful on his first two attempts. After getting to know his driving habits, one of the main areas we needed to work on was staying calm and avoiding rushing while driving.

I still remember our first lesson together at the end of June. He would almost always find himself going over the speed limit on straight roads, along with a few other driving habits that needed to be corrected and refined.

Since his road test had already been booked and his work schedule was quite unpredictable, our goal was to identify the areas that needed improvement as quickly as possible and focus our training on those areas to make the most of the limited time available before the test.

After several weeks of practice, adjustments, and focused training, I’m happy to say that he successfully completed his road test today! 💪🏻🎉

More importantly, it’s not just about passing the test. I hope this experience has helped him build more confidence behind the wheel and develop safer, smoother, and more consistent driving habits.

Now that the road test is finally out of the way, he can focus fully on preparing for the automotive repair course he’ll be starting soon. ✈️🔧

Congratulations! One step at a time — keep working towards your goals! 👏🏻

一 TAKE PASS！💪🏻💪🏻🎉🎉

[2026-08-06] As we head into August, more and more students are trying to get their road tests completed before the new school year begins! 📚🚗💨

Today, we were at Port Union for a road test, and the test centre was definitely busy! There were quite a few cars waiting to take their tests. I even heard from other instructors that some students had been waiting for more than an hour before they could finally get started! 😱

Luckily, we were one of the fortunate ones today. After waiting for about 30 minutes past our scheduled test time, we were finally able to start. 💪🏻

So, just a little reminder for everyone taking a road test — give yourself some extra time and arrive early at the test centre to check in. Delays can happen due to the number of candidates, examiner availability, or other unexpected circumstances. Arriving a little earlier will help you stay relaxed and focused. 😎

As for today’s student, he definitely had a little advantage! 🏀🤣

He plays basketball and also teaches kids how to play, so his coordination, reaction time, and sense of distance were already pretty solid!

After a quick warm-up before the test and getting himself into the right mindset, he went out there and focused on doing exactly what we had practiced.

And the result...

ONE-TAKE PASS! 💪🏻💪🏻🎉🎉

Congratulations on successfully completing your road test! 👏🏻

After all the hard work and practice, you can finally say, “Assignment completed!” 🚗💨🤣

Another driving licence unlocked before the new school year! 🎓✅
Now it’s time to enjoy the freedom of driving and start your next journey on the road! 😎👍🏻

[2026-07-25] It's been a long time since I last had a Saturday driving test with a student. This student is actually a former colleague whom I've known for many years. Having had no previous driving experience, the learning process naturally took a little longer. As the test day approached, the nerves started to build, so we spent some extra time practicing beforehand to help boost confidence.

Due to a shortage of examiners today, our road test started nearly 20 minutes later than scheduled. Fortunately, the unexpected delay gave the student some extra time to relax and settle their nerves before the test.

Congratulations on passing the G2 road test on the first attempt! Well deserved, and I wish you many years of safe and confident driving ahead! 🚗🎉

[2026-07-10] Another successful road test at the Port Union Test Centre today! 🎉

Although there was an unexpected system issue at the test centre, which delayed the road test by nearly an hour and a half, we stayed patient, kept our focus, and remained confident throughout the wait.

I’m delighted that everything went smoothly once the test began, and most importantly, the student successfully passed! Congratulations, and thank you for trusting me to be part of your driving journey. Wishing you many years of safe and confident driving ahead! 🚗💪🏻🎊

[2026-07-03] Today I accompanied a talented young football player to her driving test in Newmarket. Perhaps because of the hot weather, she took a little longer to warm up, so we spent some extra time practicing before heading to the test centre. 🤣

Since she's returning to the U.S. for pre-season training, she took her driving test today and is flying out early tomorrow morning. Thankfully, she passed successfully. Wishing her all the best, and hopefully she'll soon earn a place on the senior national team for Canada or Greece.

[2026-07-02] It was an extremely hot day, but fortunately the road test was completed successfully.

As soon as the student got into the car this morning, she became noticeably nervous. Even the skills she normally performed well were affected by her anxiety. Before the exam, I spent some extra time practicing with her to help rebuild her confidence and reduce her nervousness. By the time she went for the test, she was much calmer and better prepared.
