When you dig deeper into it, the 4C really is arguably the intrinsic spiritual successor of the beloved . For the people that are comparing this car to the likes of Cayman, which is a brilliant vehicle in its own right, are really getting it wrong because their similarities end at both being a mid-engined compact sports car. The purpose for the 4c was never about proving numbers or breaking record but the purest form of driving pleasure and Italian passion. Which is why the guys at Alfa Romeo gave it a super-car-like ultra rigid carbon-tub chassis, in-house turbo engine tuned for sound and response, NO power steering and a rather spartan interior. So yes it is not a car for everyone, but let's appreciate the fact that a car like 4C is still being produced in the midst of CUV attack.
