The yard has been busy these past few months repairing transient sailboats and working on the local fishing fleet.

We really appreciate the support and trust we receive from these local fisherman and women. We have been repairing rudders and running gear, completing fiberglass repairs and paint work, and replacing cooling pipes and cutlass bearings.

As we move into fall these boats will be back in the water preparing for lobster season and we will be hauling and winterizing pleasure crafts for winter storage!

Today we hauled a 50ft transient sailing vessel from Germany that is cruising Atlantic Canada for the summer.

They were experiencing some issues with their steering and running gear so they came to us for a new cutlass bearing and some rudder work!

Today we hauled sailing vessel “The Blue Peter”. We will be completing some engine work and our friends Tern Boatworks will be completing some hull repairs and other wood work.

Always a pleasure working with other sub trades on beautiful vessels like this one!

A Saturday morning at the Shipyard

After nearly eight months of hard work, we are proud to be nearing the completion of our first Department of National Defence refit project in partnership with Thales Canada⁠ at Lunenburg Shipyard.

Over the course of this project, the Listerville tug underwent a comprehensive refit that touched nearly every aspect of the vessel, including major mechanical systems, valve and piping systems, electrical upgrades, running gear repairs, fendering renewal, coating systems, and much more.

Projects of this scale require an incredible team effort, and we couldn’t be prouder of the craftsmanship, professionalism, and dedication shown by our crew throughout every stage of the refit. Most importantly, the work was completed while maintaining the high quality and safety standards that define our shipyard.

The Listerville will soon undergo sea trials before returning to Halifax, where she will re-enter service supporting the Royal Canadian Navy fleet.
