First of all Our Apologies for being so quiet on social media this summer, we’ve been running our butts off between all our catering , our Capital City Kitchen venture we started up last fall. You can find us at City Hall Cafateria, Wascana Pool Concession and Kings Park Speedway concession it’s definitely been a growing year.

This week we kicked it off with 1,000 ppl fed on Monday, on the Hillside front.

Rounding off the week with 4 nights of VIP Sponsor catering for Country Thunder and a nice collaboration with our good friend Judd at PaperBack Beverage Company (Cybrpunk Soda). We did a little cooking with some of his top shelf products and knocked another orchard supper outa the park.

Tomorrow you can find us at the Rider Tailgate Party. 2pm til kickoff (5).

I might even pack some icecream into that bbq trailer.

We had a great weekend at Yqr Food Truck Wars.
Friday evening our dessert trailer Hillside Sweets ‘N Treats won First place in the dessert category of the judges challenge

Saturday our Bbq trailer won the food truck dish category in the Chefs Challenge and 3rd place in the restaurant worthy dish. Our protein in this challenge was walleye.

Here we have today’s lunch special at the Cafateria.

As many of you may have noticed we haven’t had our food truck out much this year yet.
Our plan it to get the Wascana Pool concession up and running between it and our City Hall Cafateria location and all our catering we have a pretty full plate.

Capital City Kitchen for those that hadn’t heard yet is a new company we started last fall. Teamed up with Tim from Dad's Diner and frying deutchman

That being said we have a handful of multi day events we are booked for as well as all but 2 Rider games. We will still be around.

Keep an eye at both of our Capital City Kitchen locations for random bbq favourites.

Gearing up to continue our crazy busy summer this shout out goes to our meat suppliers they keep our prices locked in on some of our higher ticket items.

Like Brisket for example, nothing but the best in Canadian beef. AAA+ our price is locked in so you won’t see us raising our prices through out the year.

Well Sunday found us in Ogema for the girls dance competition. And boy were we all happy to find out Bud's BBQ was open.

Been meaning to get down and try em out for a while now and glad we finally did.

Solid bbq joint and awesome owners. I recommend the turkey as a must try ….. along with everything else.

We had a little fun yesterday whipping up a decent charcuterie spread for some friends of ours for a little party they had.

Shout out to Big Brothers Big Sisters today for having us join them at the Ed Bloos test kitchen today.

We did a cooking class for them. On the menu today was

Cornbread , bbq chicken rice bowl and for dessert we did no bake cheesecake in tart shells.

I’d include pics but too much fun and eating was had.

Was a great 3 hrs. We are looking forward to doing it again soon.
