If you haven't already, meet Wes Beacom. He's been with us for 30 years this October.

Wes is our main service truck operator, spending most of his days out on the road fixing up tires for farmers that need him. If you make an emergency roadside or after hours call, he'll probably be the one to show up and help.

Thanks for three decades Wes.

Harvest is here and there's a lot more equipment sharing the roads.

Give yourself extra time and extra space out in the county. Those operators are doing important work. Let's all get home safe.

We're proud sponsors of the Huron County Sodbusters, and this September a big group of their members are competing at the International Plowing Match in Bruce County from September 22nd to 26th.

The IPM has been close to the Townsend family since the 80s: George has coached extensively, Matt and Lucas have both competed (with Lucas finishing 2nd nationally), and both George and Matt have served as chairpersons for the IPM RV park over the years.

Good luck to every Sodbusters member competing this year. Get your tickets here: https://www.plowingmatch.org/ipm2026/

Most of you know Matt. He’s around a little bit more than George now. But after 30+ years George deserves a bit of time off. The whole thing started more than 31 years ago when George and Matt co-founded M.G.M. Townsend Tire in 1995 working from a one bay shop inside an old chicken barn. Thirty + years later the place looks a little different, but the same people are still around.

George isn't full-time anymore but you'll still catch him stopping by, doing the odd delivery or pickup, or just visiting old friends. Some things don't change. Thanks for everything, George.
