Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Five Star Auto Accessories.

We’re thankful for the customers who keep trusting us with their trucks, the people who support what we build, and everyone who has helped Five Star grow along the way. Hope you get some time today for good food, good people, and maybe a little time away from the shop.

Happy Thanksgiving.

This 2026 Ford F-350 came in wearing another mudflap kit, but the owner wanted more coverage and a setup that felt better suited to the truck.

We replaced it with a set of 13" Five Star Long Johns. More coverage where he wanted it, a cleaner finished look, and a noticeable difference in the overall feel of the setup.

The best part for us was hearing how happy he was with the difference once everything was installed. There are a lot of ways to put mudflaps on a truck. We’d rather build a setup that looks like it belongs there.

Have a good Thanksgiving weekend, everyone.

As you get used to your vehicle, little sounds start to blend into the background. A squeak here, a sluggish crank there. It happens. But every now and then, something catches an experienced ear.

This 2009 RAM 1500 rolled into our Grizzly Trucks side for tires, and we noticed the starter dragging just a bit. A quick battery test confirmed it wasn’t going to survive a Canadian winter. Good news: we had a Full Throttle 94R AGM sitting on the shelf, ready to work.

With 850 CCA and over 1800 Pulse Cranking Amps, this battery is built for hard starts, cold mornings, and demanding work trucks. It’s a serious upgrade that’ll keep this RAM firing up strong for years.

When your vehicle demands the best, go Full Throttle.

Right now, it’s just a stack of Kickbacks waiting for the next step. 3/8" rubber, cut and ready for plates.

From here, they can all end up looking completely different. Different trucks, different plate designs, different colours, different details.

That's one of the reasons we love what we do. The starting point might be the same, but the finished setup doesn’t have to be.

At first glance, it’s a pretty simple setup. Black Kickbacks. Clean Raptor plate. Nothing too wild.

Then you notice that last **R** in red. That little hit of colour changes the whole thing. That’s what we like about custom setups. You don’t always need to go overboard to make a truck feel like yours. Sometimes one small detail is enough to make it stand out.

The Kickback is the starting point. The rest is up to you.

A working truck still deserves a proper setup.

This one was in for a set of Five Star Kickbacks for Renown Down Hole Solutions inc., giving the truck a clean, finished install that is built for the kind of use these units actually see.

Whether it is one personal truck or part of a company fleet, the goal is the same: proper fitment, solid materials, and a finished job we are comfortable putting our name on.

Thanks to Renown Down Hole Solutions Inc. for trusting us with the install.

Black on black would have looked good ... and that was the original plan. There would have been nothing wrong with keeping it simple, but once the idea started to take shape, the details got a little more personal.

What began as a standard Five Star Kickback setup turned into personalized plates with a custom colour-matched backer, tying the flaps into the other work already done on this Ram HD and making the whole setup feel like it belonged there from the start.

That is the part of custom work we like most. Not adding things just for the sake of adding them, but finding the details that make the truck feel more complete. Sometimes it is just the right detail, in the right place, finished the right way.

It is your truck. We are here to help you make it yours.

10/02/2026

The difference is in the details.

Heavy rubber, stainless components, solid hardware, clean edges, and a finish that is built to look right on the truck instead of feeling like an afterthought.

That is the standard behind every set of Five Star Kickbacks.

Good fitment matters. Good materials matter. The finished product should show both.
