Slow down and move over Awareness day!!

May 13 is Saskatchewan slowdown and move over awareness day

This is to raise awareness for ALL emergency response vehicles working on the side of the road.
The Law is move over and slow down, but all too often workers are struck, or near misses have happened, with all the distractions in the world we need people to pay more attention now than ever.

Tonight at 7:00pm on the east side and west side of Lloydminster we will have emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road to bring more awareness to the importance of slowing down and moving over!

If you are driving by give us a honk and a wave and of course Slow Down and Move Over!

A few members of Kitscoty Fire Department came out to the shop to do a little in house training on a suv!
Teaching new members how to run their equipment so they can help save lives!

Big thank you to all that made it out to this years Blue lights and Burgers event
Well attended by the public and by most emergency services!
Of course with everyone on call 24/7 not all we’re able to stay, but it was fantastic they could make it out, we are all in this together !!

Great to see some kids checking out the amazing equipment and hopefully they will join our community of emergency workers

WE ALL WANT TO GO HOME AT THE END OF THE DAY
Safety is a decision we all make!

Lloydminster SK will be having a Blue Lights and Burgers event coming up on Wednesday August 23rd from 6 - 9 pm at the Gold Horse Casino. Burgers available by donation with proceeds benefitting the Lloydminster Rescue Squad and the RRAS. Fabulous door prizes and a draw for a $500 gift certificate to Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton. Come out and support a very worthwhile cause. Visit emergency responders of all kinds and learn the importance of Slowing to 60 when passing a tow truck or any emergency vehicle on the side of the road.
