It is with great shock and sadness that we received this news of Eugene’s passing. It was a pleasure doing business with you all these years. Our hearts are heavy for his loved ones and employees❣️
🕊️ It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that ME Tire and Auto announces the sudden passing of Eugene.
On October 11, Eugene was travelling in Minnesota, south of the Canadian border, when he was involved in a tragic three-vehicle motor vehicle accident.
Unfortunately, Eugene did not survive the accident and will not be returning home to his family, friends, and the community he was so much a part of.
For those who knew Eugene, you know he was much more than a business owner.
He was a hardworking, larger-than-life personality who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind, lend a hand, share a laugh, or tell a story. Eugene brought his own unique energy to everything he did, and his absence will be felt deeply by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Above all else, he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
We take comfort in knowing that Eugene is now riding his Harley through Heaven alongside Devin. ❤️
As Eugene would always say, “Burnin’ Daylight!”
Words that remind us all just how precious life truly is. Love unconditionally, show kindness to others, make every moment count, and live a life worth celebrating.
And, in true Eugene fashion, when the time comes, make sure you arrive at those pearly gates sliding sideways!
Once Eugene has been brought home to Canada, his family will be holding a celebration of life where everyone can come together to share memories, laughter, and stories about a man who truly was one of a kind.
Details will be announced when arrangements have been finalized.
We respectfully ask that everyone give Eugene’s family the privacy, compassion, and space they need during this incredibly difficult time.
To all of Eugene’s customers, friends, and everyone who has supported him over the years, thank you. ME Tire will continue to operate and honor his legacy as we stumble forward.
