Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, with occasional overtime as needed
Job Summary
As a Third-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Mechanic, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment. You will work under the supervision of senior technicians while continuing to develop your skills and knowledge toward full journeyman certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Assist in major overhauls and system rebuilds.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors on complex repair jobs.
- Provide input and suggestions for improving processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Currently in the third year of a recognized journeyman mechanic apprenticeship program.
- 2–3 years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and repair procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, CSTS) are an asset.
