We opened this Allison transmission for a scheduled PTO rebuild and found something unexpected.
The "frosting" on the gear teeth is more than just wear—it's an early warning sign of metal fatigue. Follow it a little further, and you can see where repeated stress eventually led to a fracture.
Small clues like these can help prevent much bigger repairs down the road.

Today we brought our XCMG skid steer downtown and spent the day handing out free bottles of water to help everyone stay cool while enjoying the Stampede. Seeing all the smiles, waves, and conversations made it a day to remember.

This one mistake can ruin your multi-height gooseneck. 🔧
The pin is only there to set the height. It's not designed to hold the load by itself.
If the lock bolts aren't torqued properly, the pin starts taking all the force. Over time it mushrooms, the holes become oblong, and eventually the slide binds up and won't move.
A few seconds with a torque wrench can save a much bigger repair later.
