Did you know the wrong sealant can fail before damage shows inside?

03/17/2026

Sooooo satisfying 🔥

03/17/2026

I’ll admit it… this one made me jump 😅🐝

Now before anyone gets any bright ideas… don’t go poking a wasps nest. Ever. In our case, we already knew this one was vacant before we went anywhere near it.

Just another little surprise you sometimes find when you spend enough time around RV. Keeps you on your toes!

They’re not wrong!!

This might be the fastest way to wreck a perfectly good jack.

Folks, if you see this stuff, don’t panic! Not every peeling wall means water intrusion from the outside. And if you’re curious about what water damage DOES look like—boy, oh boy—we’ve got lots of videos showing that here on our Facebook. Check ‘em out!

⚠️ The #1 thing in your RV that could literally explode… and many owners never check it.

After 11 years in the used RV business, we’ve found propane leaks in 73% of RVs during inspection. 😳

One loose connection + one ignition = a disaster waiting to happen.

Watch this before your next trip. It could save your life.

🔗 Grab a manometer at the Amazon Store link in our bio.

But honestly… the safest move is having a professional check your RV’s propane system. If you’re not sure, bring it in and we’ll pressure test it so you know it’s safe.

This is the first thing I check on any trailer!

💾 SAVE THIS before your next RV roof job!

Truth is, 3 sealants cover almost everything on your rig. Let’s break it down nice and simple.

💡 Roof seams

For the seams that run across the middle of your roof (around vents, skylights, antennas, or anything mounted on top), you want Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant.

Now here’s why.

Self-leveling sealant does exactly what the name says… you lay it down and it flows out on its own.
It settles into the seam and fills all those tiny gaps where water loves to sneak in.

🪜 Roof perimeter

Now when you move out toward the edges of your roof, things change a bit.

Those seams along the side rails or where the roof meets the wall are where you want Dicor Non-Sag Lap Sealant.

The big difference here is that non-sag sealant stays exactly where you put it.

If you used self-leveling sealant on the roof edge, gravity would pull it down the side of your trailer. Trust me, that’s a mess nobody wants to clean up.

🪟 Side trim, windows, lights, and exterior fixtures

Now let’s move down the walls of the trailer—things like window frames, marker lights, corner trim, and exterior attachments.

For these areas you’ve got two solid options:

• Dicor Cap Sealant (Non-Sag)
• ProFlex RV Sealant

Both of these are made for vertical surfaces, and they stay flexible after they cure.

And that flexibility matters more than people think.

Your RV is constantly moving and vibrating while it’s cruising down the highway. If your sealant dries hard like concrete, it’ll crack the first time the trailer twists a little.

These products stay slightly rubbery, which means they move with the trailer instead of breaking apart.

⭐ The Main Points

So if you remember nothing else, remember this:

You don’t need a toolbox full of different sealants.

Just keep these three straight:

• Self-leveling Dicor for flat roof seams
• Non-sag Dicor for roof edges
• Cap Sealant OR ProFlex for windows, trim, and lights

That’s it. Nice and simple.

A little sealant maintenance now… can save you thousands in water damage later.

💾 SAVE THIS 💾 If your RV had a check engine light for the roof… would it be flashing right now? You wouldn’t know. Because most folks don’t climb up there until it’s too late.

Folks, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from being in the RV industry over 20 years, it’s this: water is the #1 KILLER of your RV. Plain and simple.

If that stuff sneaks its way into your RV, you’re going to be… less than thrilled when you’re smacked across the face with an unexpected repair bill. But don’t blow your top just yet, because I’m going to show you exactly how to prevent this from happening.

The truth is, your RV flexes (a lot) while it’s cruising down the highway. Those vibrations wear down your RV’s seals—and let’s not forget UV exposure and the freezing/thawing of water throughout the year.

So how do you prevent it, you ask? Check. Your. Seams. At least twice a year! Here’s how:

✅ Step 1: Clean the Surface First

Give your seams a good ol’ wipe. Use a mild detergent like dish soap and water and a soft cloth to clear away dirt and grime. A clean surface makes it a whole lot easier to spot the stuff that can turn into expensive problems later—things like cracks, gaps, or sealant that’s starting to peel away.

✅ Step 2: Take a Good Look for Damage
Once everything’s clean, it’s time to inspect. Go over your seams carefully and watch for any cracking or peeling sealant, gaps where water could sneak in, signs of moisture or discoloration, and soft spots (especially up on the roof). Those are the warning signs you don’t want to ignore.

✅ We’ll Check Your Roof For FREE
If that all sounds like a truckload of work, you’re right. That’s why we offer free roof assessments:
