❄️ October 1st means winter tire season in BC!

Winter tires are now required on many BC highways, but staying legal isn’t the only reason to make the switch.

🌡️ Once temperatures regularly drop below 7°C, winter tires really start to earn their keep. Their softer rubber compounds are designed to stay flexible in the cold, providing better grip, braking and control on cold, wet, snowy and icy roads.

And in BC, you don’t have to be driving through a snowstorm to need them. Head over a mountain pass and conditions can change in a hurry!

🚗 Don’t wait for the first snowfall and the inevitable tire-shop rush.

Get ahead of winter. Book your winter tire installation with Big O Tires Port Kells today.

Winter is coming. Make sure your tires are ready for it. ❄️

It's September, and you may be thinking about winter tires. Don't forget to check our website for all the latest rebates available now on winter tires from the top brand name manufacturers. But before your summer/all-season tires come off, take a look at how they wore this year. Uneven wear now can reveal alignment, inflation or suspension issues worth addressing before the next set goes on. Poor alignment and other issues can continue forward and affect your new winter tires too. Unsure if underlying issues are causing excessive wear on your tires, bring your vehicle into our shop and we'll check BEFORE we get you into your new set of winters!
