Now this is an interior worthy of a special edition. Each one of our 50 VR550T builds can be specced with custom reupholstered RECARO Sportster CS featuring our VR550T and VR embroidered emblems.

Rob opted for alcantara fabric with honeycomb stitching and colour matched painted backs on his recaros. harnesses in white are the finishing touch.

Before the SEMA trophies. Before Gran Turismo. Before Volkswagen Germany called. Marcel Horn was a farm kid in Langley, BC with a 1976 Rabbit, a $25 junkyard budget, and a group of VW enthusiasts who built all week so they could drive on weekends.

This is where HPA Motorsports started.

Episode 01 of Built To Be Driven -- the HPA Motorsports Heritage Series -- follows Marcel Horn from his first Volkswagen at 14 years old through the founding of Highwater Performance Auto in 1991 and the philosophy that has defined every build HPA has made in the 35 years since.
