To our amazing customers and community,

We wanted to share a small update about our business.

Over the past while, our business has grown in ways we are incredibly grateful for. Serving this community and helping keep your RV adventures rolling has truly meant the world to us. As a small, family-run business, we’ve poured a lot of time, energy, and heart into every service call.
At this time, we’ve made the thoughtful decision to close our business.

This change allows us to take some much-needed time to reset, and to focus on our family. As small business owners, we’ve learned that sometimes the smartest decision is to step back.

This may be a temporary season, and we truly look forward to the possibility of returning to full-time service in the future.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support, trust, and understanding. It has been an absolute privilege to serve this community.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
Warmly,

Mike & Sarah Guenther

Ever wonder what a day in the life looks like for a family-run small business?

Here’s what a typical day looks like behind the scenes at Wild & Free Mobile RV Services:

Sarah:
Works full-time during the day at her job as an EA, then shifts gears into business mode for the evening.

Mike:
Wakes up early and starts the day with emails, checking part availability, answering texts and calls, and picking up parts.
During the day he's out on the road doing mobile RV repairs

After dinner, into the evening – Teamwork Time!
Once Sarah’s off work and Mike is back, we tackle the business together:
• Invoicing clients
• Returning calls and emails
• Booking upcoming appointments
• Checking website messages and booking requests
• Ordering parts
• Keeping up on bookkeeping

It’s a lot — but we love what we do and we’re grateful for every customer who keeps us rolling. You know the saying, "Teamwork makes the dream work", and that's exactly what we are doing!

Thank you for supporting a local, family-run business. We see you, we appreciate you, and we can’t wait to help keep your adventures on the road!

🚐 Avoid the Dreaded P**p Pyramid 💩

One of the biggest nightmares for RV owners? The dreaded p**p pyramid! 😱 This nasty buildup happens when there isn’t enough water in your black tank, leading to waste piling up and causing clogs, odors, and major headaches. Here’s why using plenty of water is critical—and how to keep your black tank happy!

Why Water Is Key:

Breaks Down Waste: Water helps dissolve solids and toilet paper, making it easier to
flush out.

Prevents Buildup: Without enough water, waste can stick to the tank walls and create hard-to-remove clogs.

Minimizes Odours: Proper water levels reduce foul smells by keeping waste submerged.

Top Tips for a Healthy Black Tank:

Pre-Fill Your Tank: Add 3-5 gallons of water before using your toilet to create a barrier.

Flush Generously: Always use extra water when flushing, especially for solids.

Dump Only When Full: Wait until your black tank is at least ⅔ full before emptying to ensure proper flow (listen for the burp when flushing if your tank sensors don't work)

Treat Your Tank: Use enzyme-based or biodegradable tank treatments to keep it fresh and breakdown waste.

Rinse Regularly: After dumping, flush your tank with clean water to clear out any leftover debris.

Remember, a little extra water goes a long way to keeping your black tank functioning smoothly—and your RV smelling fresh!

Stay Dry and Comfortable in Your RV This Winter!

Winter in British Columbia's Lower Mainland brings cooler temperatures and plenty of rain, which can create the perfect storm for moisture buildup in your RV. Excess humidity isn't just uncomfortable—it can lead to condensation, mold, mildew, and even long-term damage to your RV’s interior. That's where a dehumidifier becomes a must-have for every RV owner!

Why You Need a Dehumidifier:

Prevents Mold and Mildew: Excess moisture is the enemy of any RV, as it can lead to mold and mildew growth in hidden areas.

Protects Your Investment: Keeping your RV dry helps prevent damage to walls, flooring, and furniture caused by long-term dampness.

Improves Comfort: A dry RV feels warmer and cozier, making your winter adventures much more enjoyable!

Pro Tips for RVers:

Choose the Right Size: Select a dehumidifier that suits your RV's square footage to ensure efficient moisture removal.

Ventilate Daily: Open windows or use roof vents during dry breaks to circulate fresh air when possible.

Check for Leaks: Inspect seals and windows to ensure rain isn’t sneaking in.

Monitor Humidity Levels: Aim to keep indoor humidity around 30-50%. Many dehumidifiers have built-in hygrometers to help.

Tips for Staying Safe in High Winds While in Your RV 🌬️🚐

Hey, RVers! With some strong winds blowing through the Lower Mainland today, it's a great time to talk about staying safe and secure in your RV when the weather gets a little wild. Here are some quick tips to help you ride out the storm:

1. Check Your RV’s Stability: Make sure your RV is level and securely anchored, especially if you’re parked near trees or large structures. Use stabilizing jacks if you have them.

2. Close Your Vents: High winds can create pressure changes inside your RV, so make sure everything is closed up tightly to prevent leaks or drafts.

3. Check for Overhanging Branches: If you’re parked under trees, be mindful of branches that could snap in the wind. If possible, move your RV to a safer spot.

4. Close Your Awning: Wind can catch an awning and cause damage. Be sure your awning is fully retracted to avoid any costly repairs.

5. Fill Your Fresh Water Tank: Having that extra weight in the RV is great for peace of mind!

6. Secure Outdoor Furniture: High winds can quickly turn outdoor items into projectiles. Bring in or secure anything that could blow away, like chairs, tables, or rugs.

7. Ensure Your Propane is Full: If you rely on propane for heating, cooking, or running your fridge as a backup, check that your tanks are full. This ensures you won’t run out if the power goes down.

Stay safe out there, everyone! If you ever need help with your RV, Wild and Free Mobile RV Services is just a call or text away. 🌟 604.908.4713

Fall has come to the lower mainland rather quickly and winter is just around the corner. With the temperatures starting to drop, now is the time to get your RV prepared for the winter months ahead! Winterizing your RV is a step you don’t want to miss!

While the lower mainland does not get very cold in the winter, we do have freezing temperatures and that can wreak havoc on your RV plumbing system if not winterized properly. Avoid replacing a cracked hot water tank in the spring and contact us to get your unit winterized today!

This week we had a customer with an RV that was only 2 years old with excessive noise when stepping on the stairs inside their RV.
We confirmed that the steps were properly supported and then pulled each tread off to find that all of them (two sets of stairs) were too big for the space and were rubbing against the side walls.
We carefully sanded down each one for a better fit and the noise was gone! Happy to help as this noise would drive us crazy too 😜
