Profilters - For Filters That Perform Better Then T
he Rest
Over the years, itg have created the lightest, most capable filters for all fields of motorsport, from Formula 1 to the World Rally Championship. The same design skills, advanced technology and attention to detail are also used to produce our Profilter range of high grade replacement filters for both road and competition use. With such a pedigree, you can be sure of a quality product with a superior performance – and a highly competitive price. Superior filtration
Our unique Tri-Foam® system with three layers of foam combined with the arresting stickiness of the dust retaining oil gives a high level of filtration to protect the engine from all containments brought in by the air. More power
Performance is unaffected by very large quantities of dirt arrested in the filter and, long after ordinary filters have blocked up and reduced the engine power, loss of pressure in the Profilter airflow will be exceptionally low. Longer life
In normal road use, a Profilter will last at least four times as long as the equivalent standard filter. Waste is reduced so Profilter helps the environment as well as the engine
Megaflow - Veratile Red-Brand Filters For Road Or Race
These versatile filters are easily recognisable by their twin bright red bands around the top and bottom. They should not be confused with the many inferior types of foam air filter. These bands are the visible part of two fibre- reinforced nylon injection mouldings which form the structure on which our unique Tri-Foam filter system is bonded. The two outer layers of foam provide optimum filtration and load-up capacity while the inner layer is made of special self extinguishing filter foam. Together, they give the best combination for air flow, engine protection and safety. All baseplates for the Megaflow range are made from steel which is powder coated in bright red. Maxogen Airflow Systems- For Direct Replacement Filters
Maxogen airflow systems are revolutionary kits that enable cold, dense air to reach the fuel metering unit more efficiently. These remarkable units candeliver as much as 9% more effective peak power at the wheels, and in some cases at 500rpm less revs in doing so. Over the next few pages you will see that itg are able to supply fully enclosed air intake systems for some of todays more popular cars. This range is increasing on a regular basis so please get in contact with us if an application that you are looking for is not mentioned. ITG fully road test all prototypes to prove their durability and performance, and each kit is tested on the rolling road to fully enhance it’s capabilities for that particular car. This means we are able to offer power and torque graphs for each kit we supply. ITG induction Kit’s are typically constructed from a light weight carbon fibre to the highest possible standard. In some cases there is an aluminium option available which offers the same patented design at a more affordable price. Each silicone hose is designed and made for that specific application and the kits come complete with all the stainless fittings required and a full comprehensive set of fitting instructions. induction technology group are in the business of winning. We stop at nothing to ensure our range of unique performance air filters delivers the air power for any vehicle to achieve its optimum performance time after time, whether on the road or the race track. Click through to our cleaning video on youtube where you will find a guide on how to clean every type of filter that we manufacture. How often should I clean my filter? This depends on the filter you have purchased and the conditions you are using them. Pro Filter WB panel filters and Pro Filter BH cylindrical filters - We recommend that the filter element is cleaned every 20,000 miles/30,000 km. This is a simple procedure, and will ensure that your filter continues to deliver the power improvements over a standard car. If your car is regularly used in a dusty environment, we advise that you clean and re-oil your filter more regularly. Megaflow and Maxogen filters that are exposed without protection in the engine bay, fitted either directly to carburettors/throttle bodies or to air flow meters, will need regular inspection every other month to make sure that they are still in well oiled condition. Depending on where they are situated and how much work they have to do will depend on how many times a year you will have to wash and re oil them. We would suggest that due to their close proximity to the engine and the possibility of the oil drying out through the air flow and radiant heat that they are cleaned on a regular 6 monthly basis or more frequently depending on how much use or how dirty they get. I cannot find the filter I am looking for? We are able to manufacture any filter for any car. We have hundreds of tools for direct replacement filters for road applications and we may well have one for your car. So please use the contact us form and let us know what it is you are looking for? What filter should I use for my car? If you a looking just to replace your existing filter that sits inside the OE housing then you should consider ourPro Filter range. These filters offer better flow at low engine speeds and so will offer improvements to throttle response, torque and fuel consumption over the original paper element. They will not offer you increases in peak horsepower due to the restriction placed on the engine on the size of the pipes/ducting that takes the air to the filter as these are designed at the size they are by the manufacturer to reduce noise and emissions. Do you want an induction kit to replace your OE airbox and produce more power? Whilst itg make a large range of Maxogen® remote filters, when these are fitted directly to or close by airflow meters they will suck in a great deal of hot air. So despite sounding loud your car will in fact lose power compared to the original manufacturer system unless the remote filter is shielded in some way from the radiant heat produced by the engine and can receive a good supply of ambient air externally from the car. We produce a range of top quality high performance intake systems where the filter is protected from the heat of the engine bay by fitting it inside an air box and providing it with a supply of ambient air to improve internal combustion inside your engine. The improvement in power can be as much as a 10% improvement in peak power or by as much as 12bhp.
