Spring is officially here! As some of you have probably noticed, booking has backed up a little as a result. We thank you for your patience. It’s all hands on deck as we get through all the noises, clunking, summer tires, screeching brakes, and any other issues the past winter has brought on. As a vehicle owner, many uncertainties and unfortunate stereotypes surround our industry. Good and bad characters exist. Rob Clarke Automotive strives to make sure our clients new and established feel comfortable and confident with our services. We encourage you to come into the shop and talk with our technicians. Come take a look at what we are doing to your vehicle and why. None of our Technicians work on commission or receive any type of compensation for up selling. We all work as a team and do our best to get you back on the road with only what you need at the time. Come on down and give us a try! Oh and bring your dog! We might just have a treat behind the counter for them. Happy motoring see you soon.

We have so many great people in this community doing amazing things! Greetings everyone! Well the holidays are in the rear view mirror and we are definitely in the clutches of a cold stubborn winter. One of the most common repairs we have been seeing is wiper related. We have all been guilty of jumping in a frozen car turning on the switch and hoping for the best. Most times it ends up in overloading motors, breaking linkages and tearing up blades. Just a friendly reminder to let things warm up a bit. Your vehicle and your bank account will thank you, of course if things do go bad Rob Clarke Automotive is ready to get things back in order. Winter is extremely hard on every part of your vehicle but the days are getting longer so hang in there! Our staff will help you through. Stay warm out there.

SEE THE LIGHT! It’s the time of year many of us leave for work in the dark and drive home in the dark! It’s not always easy to spot road hazards, pedestrians or even a deer hiding in the brush. Sound familiar? Over time the lenses covering your vehicles headlights become cloudy and yellow limiting their effectiveness. The bright side is when our multi talented technician Ken isn’t diagnosing your engine issues or electrical gremlins, he practices his craft of restoring headlights to like new condition. Your car will look great and you can drive during these dark days in a new light. Check out the before and after pictures then come see Ken at Rob Clarke Automotive! The time for squinting is over.

WOULD YOU BE READY?
It’s full swing winter tire season at Rob Clarke Automotive! November has already given us a taste of what is soon to come. This article isn’t about selling anything, it’s just a friendly reminder to our followers to be safe and ready. As much as we can prepare our vehicles for winter driving, sometimes the universe has other plans, usually at the worst times. Now is a great time to think about what could happen and how you as a driver would be prepared to handle it. Most of us have one of those big box store roadside kits somewhere behind the back seat. Some items can be useful but most of them won’t “really” be of help if you are stuck in traffic on a highway, broken down or stranded in deep snow on a country road. Tow trucks can take time, sometimes hours depending on where you are located. Putting together a simple kit with items you might already have is easy and cheap. Remember this isn’t about surviving the apocalypse, it’s about staying warm and comfortable while you wait for help. Some items such as an old coat or blanket, gloves, extra socks, phone charging cables and battery bank, simple non perishable snacks, water ( although it can freeze ) even a couple of small candles and a small shovel. The internet is full of tips and videos to get you started. Even a trip to the dollar store can get you some inexpensive basics to add to your kit. Have some ideas or items that you always have in your car? Please let us know in the comments! Share your ideas we can all benefit from knowing what items have kept you out of trouble. Stay safe everyone and thanks for following.

Greetings Rob Clarke followers! It might be hard to accept it but the warm weather is now in the rear view mirror. The clocks and the temperatures are both changing. Winter tire change over booking has started. Need some new snows this year? We have you covered with lots of options and rebate programs to keep you safe on the icy roads and deep snow. Just a reminder if you know where your wheel lock key is, the technician working on your vehicle will thank you if you leave it out for them! ( trust us we really don’t want to search through your vehicle and yes… we have seen it all ). The shop will be shutting down December 19th through January 4th so everyone can have some time with their family. Stay safe out there and we look forward to seeing you.

If you are ready to book an oil service, coolant flush, tire service or simply need an inspection to get a handle on upcoming repairs we can provide whatever you need for safe and hassle free fall driving. Have a fantastic weekend!

We enjoyed hosting a Bbq for some great folks on Thursday night. The members from the Forest City Men’s Shed joined us for some burgers and hotdogs, then topped it off with an amazing ice cream treat from the Donut Diva. We also had some cool cars and bikes to check out. Even a tool truck! A big thank you to all that came to join us at the shop and helped to make it a successful evening. Truly a classic summer night!
