A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER: At the end of this month, The Garage Rehearsal Studios will be closing its doors. I'll be operating hourly bookings right up until Sunday August 28th, so any bookings made up to that point are still good to go.
I want to make it clear that this closing has to do with the lease agreement on the building. I am not shutting down for lack of business, and the business is absolutely not a Covid casualty. The past six months coming out of pandemic shutdowns have been the busiest in the Garage's history. However, operating on a commercial lease means that you do not have control over what ultimately happens with the building, and the owner will be repurposing the site.
As for future plans, I hope to be able to find another building and reopen, although finding a space to operate this type of business is a real challenge. The Garage social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram will stay active, so please continue to follow, and if I am able to reopen you'll hear about it there. Either way, I'll continue to be a part of the KW music community in whatever form that takes.
To everyone who supported The Garage over the past seven years, I can't thank you enough. I hope everyone who is losing their practice space will be able to make other arrangements soon, and get back to making music as soon as possible. Take care, and keep the faith!
