🚧 BIG DIG UPDATE: We may scrap the expansion. 😂

We were supposed to be expanding Autohouse.
But after looking at the size of this hole… we’re starting to think we should just fill ’er up and call it a day. 🏊‍♂️🌴

Waterslides. Waterfalls. Pool bar. Excavator diving board. Maybe a lazy river through the lot.

Autohouse Kingston Aquatic Centre has a pretty nice ring to it. 😂

Expansion cancelled. Everybody bring your floaties. 🦩🍹

🚧 THE BIG DIG UPDATE 🚧

Okay… the hole is officially MASSIVE. 😂
We’ve dug deep enough now that we were really hoping to uncover something cool.

Buried treasure? ❌
Ancient artifacts? ❌
Dinosaur bones? ❌
Jimmy Hoffa? ❌
More dirt? Oh yeah. Lots of that. ✅

So unfortunately, no early retirement for the Autohouse crew just yet. 😂

But the hole keeps getting bigger, and the new Autohouse keeps getting closer.
The Big Dig continues… and we’ll let you know if we hit gold or oil. 🚜💰

🚧 THE BIG DIG UPDATE 🚧

Garage: gone.
Concrete: gone.
Now we’re just digging increasingly large holes in the ground. 😂

At this point, we realize it’s starting to look suspiciously like Autohouse is putting in a swimming pool. 🏊

We promise we’re not.

Although… "Autohouse Pool & Spa" does have a certain ring to it... For our customers, of course! 🤔😂

More digging, more dirt, and one step closer to the new look.

**The Big Dig continues!** 🚜🏗️

🚧 GARAGE UPDATE - THERE IS NO GARAGE 🚧

A few days ago, it was standing. Then the excavator showed up, did excavator things, and now we’ve got ourselves a sweet concrete patio.

Just a slab, some memories, and a whole lot more room for what’s coming next. 👀

The old Autohouse is disappearing fast… the new one is getting closer.

The Big Dig rolls on. 🚜🔨

🚧 TODAY’S THE DAY 🚧

The calm before the storm is officially over.

This morning, our old garage meets its maker. 🥲😂

The crew is here, construction is underway, and piece by piece a building that’s been part of Autohouse for years is coming down.

A little sad? Absolutely.
Are we still going to stand around and watch an excavator tear it apart? Also absolutely. 😂🚜

RIP old garage. You served us well. 🫡

The Big Dig just got BIG. Stay tuned… 👀

🚧 THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM 🚧

Well… there WAS a barn here. 😂

After a few days of the Big Dig, we’re officially down to an empty hole and a cement pad.

But tomorrow is the big one. Our beloved old garage is coming down. 🥲🔨

It’s been part of Autohouse for a long time, so this one might hurt a little more than watching the barn get folded like a popsicle-stick house.

Today: calm. Tomorrow: chaos.** 🚜💥

🚧 THE BIG DIG: DAY 2 🚧

A few more shots from yesterday’s demolition because, frankly, watching a building get absolutely deleted by an excavator never gets old. 😂

The old barn didn’t put up much of a fight… but things are about to get a little more interesting.

The main garage is next.👀

More walls coming down, more dust flying, and probably more of us standing around watching heavy equipment do its thing.

**Autohouse’s facelift is officially in full swing.** 🚜💥 Stay tuned…

🚧 DAY ONE OF DEMO 🚧

Well… that escalated quickly. 😂

Day one of the Autohouse facelift is officially underway, and apparently our old barn was being held together by three nails, some hopes and dreams, and 30+ years of stubbornness. It didn't stand a chance!

Watching an excavator fold it up like it was made out of popsicle sticks is both impressive and mildly concerning.

Out with the old. In with the… giant pile of old.... For now!

The Big Dig continues. Stay tuned. 🚜💥

🚧 THE BIG DIG IS SET TO BEGIN 🚧

Well… things are about to look a little different around here. 😂

The big machines have officially arrived and Autohouse is getting a facelift! After being around a looooooong time, we figured the place deserved a little upgrade.

There’ll be some digging, some dust, some noise, and probably at least one of us standing around pretending we know what the excavator is doing.

Same Autohouse. Same crew. Same Hours of operation. Just a little construction chaos while we make the place look a whole lot better.

Stay tuned… this should be fun. 👷‍♂️🚜🔨
