We recently wrapped up an engine swap on a Ram 1500 with a 5.7L. Before we dropped in the used engine, we replaced the rear main seal, front crank seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. These repairs are easier to perform with the engine out of the vehicle. Once all completed we dropped in the new to us engine that’s been revealed.

This 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 came with lifter tick after just having them replaced. We ended up going with a Texas Speed AFM delete. This kit included a new GM camshaft for no AFM, LS7 lifters, AFM block off plugs, and gaskets. All parts reinstalled along with the ECM reprogrammed with a Diablo Sport tuner and AFM delete tune.

Once everything was back together, programmed and tested the Silverado is driving as it should!

We just wrapped up this GMC Terrain which had some timing chain noise and a bunch of timing codes stored. We replaced the timing chain, guides, tensioners, solenoids and actuators from a Cloyes timing set. Once all together with a fresh oil change, the vehicle is now running and back on the road

We had this F250 come in for a coolant leak which ended up being behind the timing cover. With the mileage of the vehicle we recommended replacing the timing chain while we were there. Good thing as this chain was stretched quite a bit and very sloppy.

With the upcoming long weekend we will be giving our hardworking staff a long deserved weekend.

Our operating hours will change to the following this long weekend. From Friday Sept.4th to Monday Sept. 7th we will be closed. Starting Tuesday Sept. 8th we will return to our normal operating hours 8am to 5pm

This week we had an F150 come in for timing chains, guides and phasers. The front cover has a slight leak but there was also a rattle from the timing chains. We installed a new Cloyes timing set and a new set of phasers. We also installed a new set of spark plugs and coils bolts while everything was torn apart.

We had a Lincoln Navigator with a 3.5 eco boost come through the shop. It had an exhaust manifold leak and a broken bolt on each bank. We removed the old manifolds and installed the BD Diesel upgraded manifolds. These manifolds utilize 2 more mounting holes relieving the extra stress put on the 8 with large gaps in between. We extracted 2 broken bolts and reassembled with new gaskets, hardware, and turbo coolant fittings.

This week we had a Kia that came in for some preventative maintenance. While it was here we changed out the air filter and cabin filter.
