We haven’t had too many “projects” in the shop lately due to high Collison bookings. This one however came to us to be finished after being in a few different shops..

🗳️ The Town of Hinton will hold a Municipal By-Election on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

As of today, there is one Councillor vacancy on Town Council. As per the Municipal Government Act, any resignation from a Councillor is effective on the date it is received by the Chief Administrative Officer. If the Town receives a resignation before July 6, the vacancy would be included in the by-election set for August 27, 2026.

Councillors are elected at large, meaning they represent all residents of Hinton.
The successful candidate will join the Mayor and Council elected during the 2025 General Municipal Election.

Hinton’s Vista Mine has a Phase II expansion on the table that would extend production ~12 years. Ottawa declined to designate a federal impact assessment in late 2024—so the file is now with Alberta regulators. Jobs, rail, exports. Let Alberta decide.
