In 1992 Reiny Arnold had a dream to own his own glass shop again. Reiny and Erna found Tradewinds Glass for sale. They us if we'd like to join them out west, and we all made the move. Reiny and Erna carved out a full life filled with family, grand kids, camping, coffee with friends and a rich church life and ofcourse, work. This morning Reiny passed away peacefully in his sleep in Stony Plain, where he and Erna have lived for the past 20 years. Without him Tradewinds Glass Inc. would not be what it is today. We will all miss his guidance, his smile, laughter and love. Forever loved. Forever remembered.

When a small town suffers the unimaginable grief that has happened in Tumbler Ridge, BC, our country feels a little bit smaller. We can not imagine what they are going through. But we hope they feel the arms of an entire country surrounding them with love and strength.

As a small business in a small community, it seems to hit harder. Hug your loved ones a little longer and tighter.

Our customers really do come from all corners of the world. While repairing a chip, with the Olympics on in the background, women's hockey Canada vs Czhechia was on. She asked the score which was 4-0. Turns out she's from Czhechia, but happy to cheer for both teams. Love it! But go Canada go!!
