Some builds test your skills.
This one tested our sanity.

About a year ago I met Mike Tarabocia on a tuning help page when he couldn’t even get his new engine to start. From over 3,000 miles away we diagnosed a high-pressure fuel issue — and that kicked off this whole project together.

Since then we’ve been building and fighting with this buggy running a 6.6L Gen V LT stroker with a Brian Tooley Racing 230 cam and CNC ported heads.

What we’ve dealt with:
• Blown transfer case
• Then a blown transmission
• Gen V LT PCM tuning issues from no speed signal
• Countless late nights figuring things out

We finally reached testing… and of course the build had one last surprise — a low-pressure fuel pump problem. So full power numbers will have to wait a little longer.

But after everything we’ve been through, we weren’t going to keep people waiting.

Here’s a compilation of the tuning and testing so far while we sort out the fuel pressure issue. We’ll be back soon to finish the job properly.

People have been asking, so we’re finally delivering...

Back in July, we had the pleasure of traveling to PEI to meet Vernon and check out the beast he keeps tucked away in his garage. Some tunes are just special.. not for the high horsepower thrill, but for the amazing people you meet along the way.

My fiancée joined us for the day and got to play around with some of our filming gear. This has become a new found hobby for her. She always explains tuning is “an electronic transaction”. It’s not flashy and there’s no crowd watching. It usually happens in a quiet garage or behind a laptop screen. Most people see the final result, a car that sounds better, runs harder, or drives smoother but they rarely get to experience the whole process. That’s why sharing these stories matters. It brings to life a side of tuning that most people never experience, the human side, the passion, the precision... and the people behind the numbers.

Tuning is a process, not an event. Every engine, every setup, and every driver’s needs are different. You don’t just plug in a number and call it good; you dial it in, test, feel, adjust, and repeat. A great tune comes from patience, data, and real-world feedback over time.
