Hawkes Bay access road, still lots of deep snow drifts. Some passable, some not so much.

Still lots of water flowing, with the amount of snow left in the hills the brooks will be high for a while yet.

Wash out on a side road off Mattys Pond road, just pass the bridge.

Spent the day exploring the Taylor’s Brook Road area and checking out the trail conditions after the spring thaw. A mix of soft spots, washouts, and plenty of muddy sections, but overall the trails are starting to shape up nicely for the season ahead.
Nothing beats getting out in the woods, seeing how the landscape has changed over the winter, and scouting routes for the summer months. Always something new to discover in Newfoundland’s backcountry.
