This ram came in for an exhaust manifold repairs.

Not 1 but 3 bolts were repaired previously and they were done incorrectly. 1 has gone through the coolant passage. And 2 have gone into the oil galleys.

This is a costly repair for the customer as now a new cylinder head is going to be needed.

Be mindful of who does your exhaust manifold repairs as it can cost more then it should down the road.

We unveiled the 392 swap RT AT Cars for Cancer today.

It took home a trophy for joyful rebellious top 3

6.1 based 392 stroker built by bes (mopar performance)

Followed by a full solo performance exhaust system with many more tasteful mods to come.

IMPORTANT THERMOSTAT NEWS - 180 degree for the HEMI

Over the years we have been changing to different brands due to failures of the 180 thermostats we use in our builds.

Years ago we used the Motorad unit. After we started to get failures with them not opening we changed to Gates. Then we started to have problems with them we went to Stant which also started to fail. These failures didn't happen on every unit but having repeated failures is not good.

Digging deeper, we found out that Motorad is manufacturing the majority of thermostats for most of the brands (except Mopar). As a matter of fact, Motorad is stamped right on the frame.

Two years ago we started using Mishimoto without fail until recently. We have had 2 fail in the last 4 months. Checking online I am seeing others are having the same issue as well.

We decided that we would order in some from Jet Performance thermostat which has been another option.

Guess what?

As you will see in the pictures they are made by Motorad. Didn't even test them, just sent them right back.

Time to do some research......
