We are announcing an important update regarding our business operations. Due to an expropriation by Metrolinx, Eric’s Automotive will be relocating to a new service center. Please note the following key dates and transition details:

● Last Day of Service at Our Current Location: September 22nd
● First Day of Service at Our New Location: September 22nd
● New Location Address: 568 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton

While we open the doors of our new home on September 22nd, Eric’s Automotive staff will not be
present during the first week at the new location. Customers will be assisted by our partners and new team members at Whitwell’s—now the new home of Eric’s Automotive throughout this initial period.

We kindly ask for your patience as our staff transitions and we work to streamline operations in the way you’re accustomed to. Our goal is to maintain the high-quality, trusted service you expect while ensuring a smooth transition.

Just wrapped up an incredible few days of intense EV (electric vehicle) training with my amazing team! 🚗⚡️ We had the chance to dive deep into hands-on work, from removing huge EV batteries to learning how to properly diagnose and isolate issues. We even tackled replacing battery modules! 💪 I’m beyond proud of how quickly my team has adapted and mastered these new skills. The learning never stops – we still have two more weeks to go in our 8-module training program, but I couldn’t be more impressed with their dedication so far. Time for a crash course in transmissions!

Your transmission is what takes power from your engine to the wheels of your car- so if it stops working then the engine doesn't have any power, meaning your wheels won't turn.

Some signs to look out for that your transmission may need some help are:
- Odd sounds from the car: this is never a good thing. Sounds most commonly associated with transmisison failure are humming, buzzing, whining and clunking.
- Smell burning: This could mean that your transmission fluid is overheating- the odor will smell very acrid- more like burning rubber
- Won't go into gear: this could indicate a few different issues with the transmission, all of which lead to needing to call the experts!
