Canadian Motorcycle Association

Canadian Motorcycle Association The CMA is Canada's National Association for motorcyclists, is the FIM and FIM North America Affiliate, and is a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee.

Note: the office is currently closed to visitors; you may contact us by email or phone. Thank you! The Canadian Motorcycle Association was founded in 1946 and incorporated federally in 1957. We are Canada's National Association for motorcyclists, and are proud to celebrate over 60 years of service to our community. Since 1950 we have been affiliated with the World Governing Body, Federation Intern

ationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and are responsible to oversee their interests in motorcycling and snowmobiling throughout Canada. CMA members numbering almost 10,000 have interests in all aspects of motorcycling from road riding to racing and trail riding. CMA affiliated clubs and promoters organize more than 500 activities each year. The CMA is managed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the members. A professional staff carries out the day to day management which includes maintaining communication with various government and other agencies with respect to motorcycling issues. Local Regions, where established by the Board, coordinate CMA grass roots activity. The CMA board and staff are assisted by a vast army of volunteers who contribute their expertise and enthusiasm to organizing and working at events, and keeping CMA informed about safety, legislative and land use issues which can affect the motorcycle community in their area.

Welcome Motor Maids!

We are pleased to welcome the Motor Maids Inc. to St. Catharines, Ontario, for their 2026 annual convention, on July 7-9!

The Motor Maids were formed in 1940, and membership has grown to a diverse group of 1,300 members across Canada and the US. The common threads that bind them are a passion for riding, promoting safe riding habits and presenting the world with a positive image of women on motorcycles.

Motor Maid club members will come from all over the US and Canada, as far north as Ottawa, as far south as Ft Lauderdale and as far west as Los Angeles. Each lady must ride her motorcycle from her home to the convention and back home. They range in age from 18 to 99. Mothers will bring daughters and daughters in law who are also members and the club’s history holds more than one precedent for three generations of a family holding membership.

Highlights of the convention include a Red Ribbon event, at which the club recognizes first-time conventioneers, the signature Dot Robinson Road Run, (a timed road race with secret checkpoints), a parade in full uniform, and a closing banquet on Thursday evening.
