We had an incredible time at our Safety Services Nova Scotia team building event this year!

The SSNS Staff and Board of Directors collaborated on every last detail. From assembling to decorating children’s bikes, our team came together with enthusiasm, creativity, and a shared sense of purpose.

The room was filled with energy as teams worked side-by-side, supporting one another to make sure every bike was ready to roll. We’re so proud of how well the Safety Services team worked together, and even more excited that these bikes will be donated to local charities throughout HRM—helping bring joy to children in our community.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and made this event such a success. This is what teamwork (and community impact) is all about!!

We are thrilled to announce the May recipient of the Safety Services Nova Scotia Road to Impact Grant: Junior Achievement Nova Scotia

As a Nova Scotia non-profit charity, Safety Services Nova Scotia created the Road to Impact Grant to reinvest in organizations and community projects making a meaningful difference through safety, education, wellbeing, and community development across our province.

This month’s $2,500 grant will support Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia's World of Choices program, an inspiring initiative that connects students with skilled professionals through interactive career exploration sessions in schools across the province.

World of Choices brings professionals into classrooms for engaging Q&A discussions where students learn about different career paths, education journeys, workplace experiences, and future opportunities, helping students better understand the wide range of opportunities available to them as they begin thinking about their futures.

We were proud to present the cheque this week during their event at Central Kings High School, where students had the opportunity to connect directly with professionals from a variety of industries and ask meaningful questions about careers, skills, and life experiences.

We were also proud to have our very own Motorcycle Manager, Stuart MacLean, and Client Services Coordinator, Sarah Tracy, participate in the event as guest speakers, sharing their personal education and career journeys with students and helping inspire the next generation of Nova Scotian professionals.

Programs like World of Choices play an important role in empowering youth, building confidence, and strengthening communities through education and mentorship. We are proud to support Junior Achievement Nova Scotia and the incredible impact they continue to make for students across our province.
