The intro to a live performance 🎬🔥

Created this short film as the opening piece for 3hree 6ix 5ive / Mad Craz before they hit the stage at The Forum in Halifax & projected onto a large movie screen in the early 2000’s

The concept? A skit paying homage to the early days — featuring the crew pulling up swinging the same CTG Records shirts they had “just stolen” in the film before walking straight onto the stage for their performance

What started as a funny skit became a full-circle moment for Halifax culture. Music, skateboarding, film, and the city’s underground scene all colliding in one room.

Knucklehead, KL aka. Klepto, Short Shane, and the presence of White Mic through the visuals are reminded how deep the roots of East Coast hip-hop really go.

This was more than an intro video. It was a time capsule for the city. 🎥🌊

This is not simply about nostalgia — it’s about documenting a generation that helped build East Coast hip-hop and the broader creative community, piece by piece.

Much respect to Proskates for consistently supporting the arts community and championing the culture through every era. From skateboarding to music to film, these spaces and individuals gave young people in Halifax something meaningful to believe in. Happy 40th Anniversary 🎉🥳

For those who were there, you already understand. For the generations after, now you will too. 🎥🖤 🕊️Big Short Shane ❤️

From the wild puppy days to the slow walks and wise eyes, you’ve been family through every chapter. Loyal through the highs, comforting through the lows, and somehow always knowing exactly when someone needed you most.

16 years of memories, couch takeovers, side-eyes, treats, adventures, and unconditional love. Real ones know dogs like Albert only come around once in a lifetime.

Still the king of the house. Still got that dawg in him. ❤️

How it’s made in the Maritimes. A mini doc showcasing that since 1996, Homegrown Skateboards has been more than a skate brand 🛹 it became the heartbeat of a community.

What Jesse Watson built over the last three decades goes way deeper than boards and clothing. In LaHave Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 he created a home for generations of skaters across the East Coast of Canada. A place where kids found confidence, friendships, purpose, and culture.

A lot of people talk about supporting community, but Jesse actually lived it. He put people on, gave skaters opportunities, and helped keep the East Coast scene alive through every era since the 90’s

Respect to everyone who helped build this culture brick by brick. The East Coast skate scene wouldn’t be what it is today without Homegrown skateboards 🙌❤️

This is just 1 of the docs I’ve created over the years……this 1 particularly is a concrete story from the mid 90’s to early 2000’s in Halifax… before everything was polished, before the parks were perfect — it was raw spots, security chases, busted decks, and pure love for the culture.

This was a time when a handful of dedicated skaters turned nothing into something. DIY builds, late-night missions, filming clips on beat-up cameras, and pushing each other to go harder every single day. No clout, no followers — just respect earned on the pavement.

The scene wasn’t big, but it was tight. The kind of era where names carried weight because of what you did, not what you posted. The ones who showed up in the cold, who bled for clips, who built spots with their own hands — they laid the foundation for everything that came after.

This is a piece of Halifax skate history. Not just tricks… but a movement. And if you were there, you already know — that energy never left. 🛹
