We’ve recently had several customers let us know they’ve been told by other local towing companies that they tow for AMA.

To help clear up any confusion, Flynn’s Towing has proudly been the primary AMA towing service provider in the Grande Prairie area for the past 12 years.

If you require roadside assistance through your AMA membership, the best way to ensure your request is dispatched correctly is to request service directly through AMA using one of these convenient options:

☎️ Call the roadside assistance number located on the back of your AMA membership card.

As an AMA member, you are always free to choose a different towing company if you prefer. Please note that if you choose a provider outside of AMA’s dispatched service, you will be responsible for paying that company directly at the time of service and then submitting your receipt to AMA for reimbursement, subject to your membership coverage.

🚨 New Towing & Storage Regulations in Alberta – Effective April 1, 2026 🚨

Have you heard about the new Vehicle Towing & Storage Regulations introduced by the Alberta Government?

As of April 1, 2026, all towing businesses providing vehicle towing or storage services must follow new requirements designed to better protect Albertans and ensure transparency.

Here’s what this means for you:

✔️ Your consent is required before your vehicle is towed or stored
✔️ You must be given clear information about all associated costs
✔️ You will be advised of where your vehicle is being stored
✔️ You must be provided access to your vehicle and personal belongings (at NO charge during business hours)

These changes are all about giving you the information you need to make informed decisions and ensuring fair, transparent service across the industry.

🚨 PLEASE SLOW DOWN & MOVE OVER 🚨

Today, two of our tow operators experienced multiple close calls while working roadside calls — vehicles flying past without slowing down or moving over. Every one of those moments could have ended very differently.

Behind every tow truck are families, friends, and loved ones waiting for that operator to come home safely. When you see amber and blue lights, it’s not just a truck on the shoulder — it’s someone doing their job to help others, often in the worst conditions, inches from traffic.

⚠️ Slow down. Move over. Give them room to work.
That small action can be the difference between a safe shift and a life-changing tragedy.

Please remember this the next time you pass roadside workers.
We all deserve to make it home.

🚨🚨 Please be aware of our drivers are out there winching vehicles and people out of the ditch. While doing a recovery one of our drivers had two suvs, come on the driver's side on the shoulder to get around him. Instead of the other lane, they drove straight over his winch line while he was underneath the car.

Our tow operators have loved one’s they want to get home to, just like you, this holiday season. So please be more aware, your impatience could severely injure someone or even worse!
